Whenever Ive seen Paul ifill play, granted not too frequently, hes always impressed me. First time I saw him was when we got hammered 3-0 by the scum at the New Den and Ifill tore our right back to pieces.

Saw the last half hour of the Millwall v Ferencvaros game and he did really well going forward.

Maybe hes a possible soloution to our left sided/left footer problem when the window opens in january?

My Millwall mate rates him highly & mentioned that Stoke are looking at him, sensing a possible bargain as hes out of contract soon. I havent heard him linked with Palace, but maybe hes a player Dowie should be looking at?

Not sure about the headless chicken but I'm certain he's right footed.

I'm 99% sure he plays on the right and is very right footed. I agree he's a good player, but he wouldn't get into our team unless it was at the expense of Routledge.

Would be a very good replacment for Routledge and is capable of playing on either side.

don't like him, falls down far too easily, and always seems to try and wind the opposition up, well he did when we played down there last season anyway

He is right footed but he plays on the left. I have always been impressed by him whenever I've seen him. Last season in the 1 1 draw with the scum he was by far the best player on the pitch, posed the only serious threat to us the whole game, provided the cross that Bob Peeters scored and deservedly won the man of the match award. I thought when we went for Cahill that it would've been a good idea to go for him too in a double deal. I rate him

Erm...Ifill hasn't played anything other than lower division football I fear. I also fear the fact that whilst he has limited UEFA Cup experience, Kolkka has Champions League experience, and quite a bit of it also.

He lives down in Brighton, saw him out on the town a few nights during my university days.

Is uaually a right winger. Got a hell of a free kick on him. Not a patch on cahill.

   We've bought in a dozen players and people are still going on about that? Ifil - decent player, and worth getting if he's prepared to generally play second fiddle. Then again, perhaps Soares is already filling his potential slot in the squad, what with ID eulogising about him today?

For starters I think we need cover (obviously) and secondly (though improving) Kolkka is not yet producing consistently which is not to say he wont in the long run but not yet. Also NEWSFLASH! we dont seem to have experienced Premiership player money so the Championship is where we must look if we are not to venture back into europe to sign another player we know little about.

He is reported today to be happy at Millwall.

Not at all mate.

I started the thread about Ifill after hearing about Stokes interest & their reported 50,000 bid. Ifill is a decent player who could do a good job for Palace. For once we can be the club that does the gazumping & snatch him from under Stokes noses, for a price we can afford.

Whether hes right or left footed, he would still be a worthwhile acquisition as he can provide competition for Kolkka & Routledge. Im sure he plays on the left for Millwall, maybe he could start on the left with Routledge on the right, and swap round positions during the game like Gray used to do.

Maybe someone should E-Mail Dowie & suggest he gets in contact with Theo to talk about Ifill? :D

Calm down. It's a dig at Barry's racist rantings in GCC.

Quite how touchy has everyone become?
