If this is true. If it is true. This is seriously some of the best news we have had for many a year. The guy is so lively around the box. Lately he's been off the boil and hasn't featured in the Swedish national team but he will, underline will, be a great signing. Can we hope this is true ? I ,for one, really hope so.

Well it's hardly impossible! Lombardo was a far bigger name, Ventola & Kiraly are arguably bigger names.

Braders - Kallström is a very good Swedish attacking central midfielder, 22 years old with 21 international caps. Currently at Rennes in France, so I can imagine him wanting to come here.

What's wrong with Rennes? Or did you mean can't.

Simply that the French League (and Rennes aren't even a particularly big club in it) is a less prestigious, challenging and financially rewarding league than the Premiership.

If we aren't really in for this guy, we probably should be. Here's hoping :)

Looked talented coming on as sub in a couple of Euro 2004 games I saw.

They only signed him earlier this year. Why would they want to sell him already?

To double/treble their money? To avoid keeping a player who could quite likely be unhappy if a bid by a Premiership club for him was turned down?

Obviously I want this one to happen so I'm trying to justify it a bit, but I certainly think this is plausible.

Maybe its a pre-arranged deal, but surely at this point we are a bit out of transfer window time?

Unlikely unless We are paying 3.2 million (don't believe that figure) that would represent a fantastic profit for the French club.
The Hitmann has not identified his sorce as yet.

Who was the bright chappy on here that said we should go for him in January (about a month and a half ago.) ? Oh wait, that was me :)

Hope this is true as i can say I told you so and stick in that :smug-git: smiley ! :)

All the doubters who said no chance would we ever be linked to him.....:)

The shoe is on the other foot now....(unless this is not true and i look really, really stupid :D )

One of the best young players in the world. This would be awesome for you. But....

He only transferred to France from Sweden recently, I'd be amazed if he was on the move again tbh.

I doubt he'll be available in Jan. Maybe for next season, assuming we win a few more games.

if true this would be a fantastic signing. He is a complete midfielder, playmaker, gives his all and scores loads of goals. His left foot is terrific, very dangerous free-kicks. He is a winner.
