I wonder if this guy is the answer to our attacking midfielder/left midfielder role. Kolkka is starting to blossom though with the back up or an addition of McFadden could be a huge asset. Don't know why he's not getting a run at Everton as IMO he's quality, a dip in form towards the end of last season and he's struggling to make the bench at Goodison this term. Do you think this is one guy ID is looking at? Don't think wages or price tag would be a problem too.

Would like to think so, but doubt it. I am actually a big fan of this kid, and he is probably Scotland's best hope for the future, then again that aint saying much! :D

A good player but i'm not sure if we could tempt him away from Everton

He's not playing week in week out at Everton, but I can't see him displacing Kolkka, and he would want first team football every week and I don't think we could offer him more than Everton. (Plus he may get European football next season if they carry the same form....)

I think he is a good player no question, but I don't think Everton would sell him as A) Their squad is wafer thin as it is, and B) They are 3rd in the Premiership and he would not want to take the drop IMO.

Has he actually scored a goal for Everton yet?

I agree, midfield or up front he's quality, but he doesn't seem to be at his best at Everton, based on his performances for Scotland he's a very good player. I read he wanted to stay and fight for his place instead of going on loan though, and he'd probably be quite expensive to buy.

Not sure how well he would fit into our system - good player though

No, but he's good at Championship Manager.

McFadden would have to discuss with his best friend (if you catch my drift) and he is Will Young, and i have this on good authority.

try a season long loan with a few causes like a buy option at the end

And who would your source be? Highly dubious seeing as Will Young has recently been linked with another player for a different premiership outfit who also wear blue.

Salt, pinch of, get my drift?

And I can't see the player coming to us anyway.

may not be possible to buy him but a loan could well be on the cards is a quality player and would offer what we wanted kav to do for us but hasn't.

Try travelling south a few hundred miles and you'll be slightly closer to the truth.
