sunderland season ticket holder says that we are going to buy him in jan. he is left sided either winger or full back who scores a few goals.knowing palace are in for him he is bound to score the winner that knocks us out of the cup !

Top notch player. Can't see him coming to us though. Are you sure your friend isn't telling you porkies. Sunderland are looking good for automatic promotion so I doubt that they'll want to sell their best player.

Also he signed a new 3 year deal about 2 months ago, he would have been out of contract at the end of the season. Would love to see him here though.

Said on the way to OT i hoped Sunderland lost and when asked why it was cos if they are nowhere near automatic spot (unlikely) then there is a chance they might sell him.

Unless he put a buy-out clause in his new contract I cannot see them selling and if they do i cannot see us getting him. He is the best left sided player outside the Premiership at the moment!

just signed a contract and said he wanted to stay up there.

I hope your friend is right HARRY. We could do with a little more quality and depth down the left side.

yes I think on 13k a week. Could well of been a target before he signed but the only way he would leave is if Sunderland dont get promoted. A good player but very unlikely to be coming to us now.

would be good if it was true - but he's just signed a new contract

Bruce had only just come to Palace and signed a contract...

Its only a piece of paper. Still unlikely, but I would be absolutely smegfookingtastically delighted if we got him.

his signing a new contract was big news up here. He's probably the second most popular player in the North-East behind Shearer, and he's not going anywhere.

Not 75%, but I take your point.

It was quicker than posting up a long winded reply to yet another of these posts which start off "my mate is a mate of a mates mate who knows somebody who has a mate who says we are going to sign so and so".....what is the fkgn point ??:hmph: :hmph:

Would be brilliant news...looks quality.

Unfortunately Harry Monk has linked us to several players that have never even been approached.

Nothing to see here.

If we buy him surely he will be playing for us in that game?

I would like to see us sign him now is he is fit and playing. Shame that Sunderland have picked up recently though as less likely now and maybe would cost more that they are in the process of a possible takeover

90% of the threads here fall under that category, so why bother with this forum at all. That is surely part of the fun/frustration. If we waited for 'genuine' inside knowledge, well we would be here a long time.

I was impressed with him last season & he would be a good signing for us.

He wouldn't come to us. he absolutely loves Sunderland for no apparent reason.

He would have left in the summer, but instead he signed a new contract.
