Derby youngster, apparently Dowie is interested in a permanent deal.

You heard it here first.

He is Young Tall and has some talent.

Not sure he is ready for the premiership yet but has played all over the park for Derby!

Would be an astute signing imo, bags of potential.

i mentioned him as someone id buy in the '5 mil to spend' thread , decent player and will only get better - id see him as a holding midfielder eventually as he has a excellent range of passing and ability to read the game.
has been playing centre back all season though.

Really? I'm sceptical, but he'd be a great signing if it happened. Get Billy Jones in from Crewe to boot, if we're making signings for the future.

He was great on Championship Manager 03/04 as well :p

Shipp Ahoy!

He's still great on FM2005

Hang on - is this coming from the same guy who said Jon Dahl Tomasson had agreed a deal to come to us in January? I'll believe it when I see it.

(Though I agree Huddlestone would be a terrific signing).

would be a great signing but is he Prem class?

'Huddlestone' is a top prospect and has been deployed in midfield and in defence.
In actual fact, some while ago I was privileged to engage in conversation with 'George Burley' who stated that in his opinion the laddie could play anywhere on the field of play.

never heard of him. would suggest a wise way for the club to go though. sign up a few younger players

Only 18 I think, can play central defence or central midfield.

Very highly rated.

Because he is so highly rated, i think he would cost too much for us. Considering he would be 'one for the future' and, if we were to sign him, not a player i could see playing a major role this season. Would love to see him at Palace though - a hot prospect.

Independent makes Huddlestone the player to watch this year apparently.

Can't see this lad being the "impact" player, that ID said he'd be looking to bring in.Anyway Tom Soares introduction to the first team, would suggest that, we might already have this type of player already in our team, ie, tall, strong, pacy etc.

From a Derby season ticket holder I know:-

"We are a selling club. Very good prospect who turned 18 two days
ago but was ever present last season except for suspensions.
Excellent distribution but maybe lacks a yard of pace.
Started in midfield but seen as a future England centre half although not commanding in the air. There will be a massive uproar if he leaves despite being a Forest lover.

Not for the premier league just yet

Agreed - but surely there are two teams to consider - one to keep us up in five months and one to keep us up for five years (and the rest:D ).
Would seem a possible for the second of these sides.

Tottenham are apparently interested. Would have thought this would be a good signing...

He won't be coming to Palace in the near future, rest assured.
