blackburn are not extending his contract as of the 31st of december, so he'll be available on a free.

he could provide the creativity and class we're currently lacking and has experience of a relegation scrap with bolton.

i reckon sign him up on a six month deal. its hardly that big a risk and could provide the spark we need.

got to ask questions why he wasnt a success at blackburn who are in a similar plight to us.

I think blackburn are releasing him because of his injuries and because he cannot keep up with the fast pace of the premier league.

not sure what formation they use, but youri would work really well in a 4-5-1 as an attacking midfielder. or alternately cover/replacemnt for wayne as a right winger.

we'd only have to offer him a 5 month deal, and he could be the sort of 'impact' player that dowies on about.

Yes he would ..... if he wasn't going on 36, with a buggered knee that hasn't responded to treatment.
