If we beat Man City, I'll be thinking Leicester, 2015/16 :lux:

after these games we'll know if this is to be a rare season where we do something special or if it's going to be another mid-table outing, with reasonable form but nothing remarkable

Is the ginger Belgian still out, or back for our game?

Pathos Cyprus, very nice there this week on holiday!

cpfcfan1 11-10-2019 07:35 AM

If we could just beat Liverpool I'd be so happy, love to beat them.

brighton_eagle 11-10-2019 07:38 AM

So I'm adjusting my prediction upwards. It was 5 points, we got 3 already. I think we can get another 5 from the 5 remaining games, so that makes the total 8 points.

F*** off. We were supposed to be going there on Sunday but it was booked with Thomas f***ing Cook wasn't it. FFS.

Just been on the BlueMoon forum.
They already have a ten page match day thread on our game. They are making us sound like Barcelona! See it as a must win/biggest game of the season, many tipping us for a win or draw, concerned it is just after International break and reckon they could have lost 5-0 to Wolves and had no complaints.
Saying they were lucky to win at Everton and Norwich was a shambles. They are really worried about this fixture. Last season they just took the win as a formality, how times have changed!

Coupled with a few of our fans now thinking we could nick a result, that's sewn up a Man City win!

Sorry to hear that, maybe you can still get a cheap deal on the web, we went via Tui. The weather in Cyprus remains very pleasant with loads of sun and blue sky's until Christmas.:p

How many points do we think we can get to add to our current start? I'm looking at maybe 5 or 6. 1 win + 2/3 draws.

Thoughts

I bet we get a few surprises out of that run.. hope im right!

Jacko 11-10-2019 12:13 PM

I said we'd get one point. And despite the win at West Ham, I reckon we'll still get one point! :D That's what being a Palace fan does to you!

:D

You're thinking, like me, that VAR may yet rule out our winner at the Taxpayers' Stadium? ;)

I quite like the old school Man City fans, the ones that were around before the petro money came rolling in. Proper football fans, seen some bad times, plus after the whole C*ntona business and what followed on from there, we kind of had a mutual enemy. I get the feeling a lot of the ones posting on there are old school.

I agree, they seem to have the same sense of negativity as most on here (hdeagle excluded).

It's not so much negativity, it's just, well, how best to relate supporting Palace... it's kinda like getting married for the third time: the triumph of hope over experience.

hdeagle 11-10-2019 10:27 PM

Palace can definitely give the top 5 a game and the pressure is on them to beat us.

I am looking forward to Palace carrying on their good start to the season and building upon it by adding to their points tally.
