Neither had you probably. Freedman has a good eye for a player, but you probably donít know anything beyond the Premier League with Palace

Dougie, you are paid a handsome salary to know these things. Not the poster you are quoting.

Oops not only is GB a massive Palace fan but also watches loads of lower league football as his Mrs is an ardent Pompey fan, let alone the foreign footy he watches....... why throw accusations at folks when you really donít know them or what youíre talking about??

Odd.

LOL. Of course

Sounds as this was close, but atalanta offered him a big contract to stay, he's not signed it yet

thomasbroad 09-07-2019 03:54 PM

You'd have thought we'd know he wanted to play Champions League football...

Probably relying too much on "the draw of the Premier League", or that old BBS favourite "the draw of London".

Palace Bear 09-07-2019 03:57 PM

Or maybe his agent is saying he's offered a big contract to stay to get his palace contract improved?

Mask over mask like a classic scooby-doo reveal.

There is something in that, but itís a marginal pull at best. Not gonna stand up to how good the team is, wages, European football or realistic ambitions of European football etc

cpfcfan1 09-07-2019 04:02 PM

Depends, Premier league football is a big pull too, let's face it atalanta ain't going to get very far in the champions league are they

Given that rumours rarely leak from Palace nowadays, maybe it was just agent putting stuff out so his client could get enhanced contract?

I think their attack is good enough to cause anyone problems. Top scorers in Serie A last season. Could get the quarters with good draw luck imo, but if you’re not in it to win it, you’re just making up the numbers really.

I think you can say that about the Europa league, but I feel the Champions league is more than just making up the numbers if you're not in it to win it. Arsenal being a good example; their transfer budget now has been slashed because of it.

Yeah I guess you’re right. My point was really that they shouldn’t be underestimated and will give teams problems, but ultimately won’t be in that 8 or so team bracket of teams who could genuinely win.

Bridgey on SSN reckons it’s close?
