Cashless Selhurst

Something in tomorrow's programme about Selhurst going Cashless in 2019.

They will argue it will improve queues and waiting times but it's always nice to have the option.

Staff theft has been a big problem for years too so probably forced their hands.

The queues will be half as long in the championship anyway :lux:

This is about the transfer and wages budget, isn't it not?

Here's a crazy wacky leftfield revolutionary idea...

Have a separate queue for 'cold drinks only' and pre-pour them and/or have a person dedicated to pouring them or taking lids off, while another person serves them and takes the card or cash.

More drinks sold, shorter queues for beer, shorter queues for food = we get a win win win, even if it isn't on the pitch.

Just copying a few of the playing staff.

I've lost count of the number of times the card machine fcks up and I've barely ever bought any food/drink so was pretty much everytime!

What's going to happen when you can't pay by card...

palace_burger 15-12-2018 03:47 AM

Hardly ever carry cash these days

Hong Kong Eagle 15-12-2018 05:43 AM

they've been doing that at Rugby grounds for decades. Why it's never occurred to football clubs, especially at half time, is beyond me.

I wonder If bartering will be acceptable. If so, then I'll be the bloke in the beer queue with a goat.

Does this mean they'll be selling Jamaican goat curry as well? Win-win

To true when we're in League One in a year and a half....:sob:

This was mentioned at the E400 open day (when trying to persuade us that facilities in the Arthur would be much better!) They said then that there would be one cash till at each bar. Sounds like they've changed their mind.
