West Ham at home

Guaita
AWB Tomkins Sakho PvA
Townsend Milivojevic Kouyate Ayew
Batshuayi
Benteke

PvA needs to sort himself out, but would rather persist with him because once he finds his form again, we'll be so much more dangerous.

It's a bit attack minded, but both Townsend and Ayew work very hard in defence so think we could cope.

This, and we have great options to rotate and freshen up the midfield during the game

bodger 03-02-2019 10:47 AM

Guaita
AWB Tomkins Sakho PVA the real one not the one of the last few games.
AT Luka Meyer Wilf
CB Batshuayi

WH Sako Dann Ward McArthur Kouyate Schlupp
Very good squad now with CB Sako and MB. At home only one def midfield player for me.

Gollum 03-02-2019 10:47 AM

Schlupp deserves to keep his place.
On the assumption that Kouyate won't be fit and Zaha has an extended ban....

Subject to availability our best 11 imo

Harsh on motm ayew but our best line up

Like to see 433 if no wilf and kouyate

Edit: sorry ayew. Townsend was only accidentally dropped. Edited thanks Jim cannon

You can't leave out Townsend

Palace43 03-02-2019 11:28 AM

Obvious it’s very dependent on who’s available, but I see our strongest line up, with everyone available as this:

Guaita
Wan Bissaka - Tomkins - Sakho - van Aanholt
Townsend - Milivojevic - Kouyate - Zaha
Batshuayi - Benteke

Hennessey, Kelly, Schlupp, McArthur, Meyer, Sako, Ayew

This first 18 is very harsh on a lot of players, I don’t think Roy will line up this way. But I see it as our best team.

Ayew probably doesn’t deserve to be dropped, but Bats and Benteke will rip defenses in half. Harsh on McArthur, but Kouyate and Milivojevic work so well together. Harsh on Schlupp, but Wilf is on a different platform. Harsh on Dann, but we need space on the bench, we don’t need 2 centre half’s, and Kelly and Schlupp are so versatile.

I imagine if Kouyate is still injured then McArthur will play, and if Zaha is still banned then Schlupp will be in. Also, I have a funny feeling Roy won’t drop Ayew just yet.

This for me.

Wilf, PVA & Bats interlinking down the left hand side.....lovely!

Danny_Cheviot 03-02-2019 12:56 PM

Think it will be same team in 4-4-2. Be surprised if Wilf doesn’t get at least another game ban or what was the point in the FA raising the charge.

My guess is Bats to start PL after Donny game.

All of a sudden we seem to have a lot of options ! Hopefully a fun end to the season for a change and a nice cup run :)

This.

Then an obvious swap with Ayew for Zaha once he returns from suspension.

Surely Schlupp has earnt himself another start here

Gives the left side balance over Meyer who I like but not convinced yet he would make the starting eleven.
At last Roy has a headache over what system to play and with what eleven and have the benefit of making meaningful substitutions.
I might change my mind as the week progresses but the tekkers ayew combination worked well.
Need to establish if cheik and zaha are available before selecting team this week.
If he goes 442 with all available I doubt between us all we would disagree as to what the eleven starters would be Roy would pick........
Playing for a place I suggest are Meyer macca shluppy Wickham and ayew.

LuieJack 03-02-2019 02:18 PM

There is no way that Roy will change the team and rightly so, there is an arguement to say we could drop PVA who has been poor for a few games now and push Schlupp in at LB, but why would we do that and change what has been a very dependable defence. Midfield also as good as picks itself, it is upfront where question marks will be asked like does CB or CW start to lead the line or will it be Batshuayi? for me even after his impressive intro he should Not be starting this one so as to ease him in, but used as an impact one brought on after 60 minutes, then starting the following game alongside Benteke.
Depending on fitness and bans this would be my starting lineup.

is Zaha going to get another 1 game ban?

sl6 Eagle 03-02-2019 02:35 PM

People picking Ayew over Zaha is laughable.

Mr Palace 03-02-2019 02:37 PM

Agree with Nostrils' team on this one:

--------------------Guaita---------------------

AWB------Tomkins-----Sakho----------PvA

Townsend---Luka----Kouyate-------Ayew

-----------Batshuayi---Benteke-----------

Subs
Hennessey
Dann
Schlupp
McArthur
Meyer
Sako
Wickham

Course he will, the FA aren’t interested in showing any understanding into why Wilf was that aggrieved.

Vardy got an extra match ban for his ‘improper conduct’ towards a ref after he received a second yellow, so I anticipate the same for Wilf.

With the assumption that he'll receive another match ban, I thought it would be obvious.
