Gary Lineker Just Now On MoTD
After the game during the analysis, watch when they're showing Chamakh getting injured.
Is it just me, or when Chamakh's bandage came off does Lineker say "even his bandages are rubbish" ? Twat. |
Kevin Kilbane was fair. Hansen is just so lazy - his last season of punditry and he can barely be bothered to say a sentence :S:
|
Quote:

he did say that, it's become very in vogue for the programme to pick on Chamakh - seems to be an in joke, uncalled for really
|
Quote:
|
Its utterly unprofessional and shows a lack of understanding of the game from a punditry point of view. The whole show needs scrapping and starting from scratch.
|
Quote:
|
Chamakh had a decent game but instead they show him get beaten in the air twice and not bother show his great hold up play this is ******* pathetic what have they got against him
|
Quote:
|
Jamie Redknapp and co were much better on Sky before the West Ham game - said our win was the result of the day, and said a few nice things :)
|
Quote:
Totally unnecessary to snipe at a player with an injury that required 8 stitches. Lineker snobby wanker. |
Quote:
|
He implied mcshane had chamakh in his pocket before that incident, which is a lie.
Chamakh has done well this season, but they wont see that from the 2 minutes of highlights they bother to watch. |
Just show us the highlights, sack the pundits.

He also tweeted this earlier today: @GaryLineker: Early encouragement for Tony Pulis…Chamakh has gone off with an injury.
Has he shagged his wife or something? Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk |

Of course my knowledge of the game has broadened immensely having watched criticism of Chamakh rather than a minor incident such as, I don't know, a red card.

Come on hes a football legend. He tweets criticism about all clubs.
In fact he tweets about everything. Seriously have you seen how much he tweets??? Might even be a twitter addict. |

smug pricks on MOTD. refuse to watch it/participate in the collective circle jerk they have about the top 4

I thought MC had a good game both up front and in defence until he went off. No mention of McShane knockinf the bandage off MC's head with his arm!

Both strikers for us today had very good games. Our physios might want to go back to bandage school tho... |

10 mins later and he's deleted all his tweets talking about Chamakh. You're welcome BBS. |

I like Lineker.
I imagine everyone talks just as much shit about players they only see on highlights, it's just it is more visible when someone like Lineker says it. |
oops double post
|
Just caught up with MOTD what a disrespectful p*** take that was, big ears snidey comment, no mention of the ridiculous sending off and Hansen's one liner at the end which was well out of order! Whether it's true or not that's the only thing he said, completely negative and and no praise what so ever. After watching that no one should ever slag Merson off again! I caught the last 20 mins of him after work and he told Bolasie's sending off how it was and seemed quite excited that we scored and won. BBC are armatures compared to SKY, effing disgraceful public service........I don't know why I'm getting wound up about it.
We're not fashionable and we're always at our best when we're starring down the barrel of a gun. That's why I'm looking forward to Pulis' appointment. I hope we go and give these premiership luvies a good kick up in the air on our way to survival and give Hansen and co so something to really moan about!! |
Quote:
but he is shit!! |
Quote:
He isn't scoring - and thats because of a blatant lack of confidence more than anything. His hold up play, work-rate, and passing (for the most part) have been really good. Plus he has a completely thankless task that would make most strikers look bad from a goal scoring perspective. |
Jug eared crisp sellout ****
|
Anyone who thinks Chamakh has been "shit" either doesn't go to matches or drinks 12 pints and 5 jagerbombs beforehand.
Both him and Jerome were superb today, and both did the job that Murray did for us last season (in terms of holding it up). When GM is back it'll be interesting to see who starts upfront. |

Been one of our best players all season. |
Never like that butter wouldnt melt in his mouth tosser...I put him off from scoring a penalty you know:D Think he was playin for Leicester or someone, pen in front of the Homesdale...everyone went quiet in awe of the baby faced git but I didnt and shouted as loud as I could "LINEKER YOU WANKER!" just as he took it and he missed:lux::lux::lux: friggin botox eared sandpapered headed bum face
|
Chamakh wanted to stay on so much he seemed to be in tears when he was brought off. Played really well.

The guy wanted to play on with a hole in his head needing 8 stitches! I doubt Lineker even went for 8 headers in his career and he wants to criticise?

One thought I did have after the 'even his head bandage is rubbish' is perhaps that isolated comment was more a reference to his haircut than his footballing ability? Would make a little more sense. |
Someone at the club should make a complaint to the BBC. Joke! And to say McShane had him in his pocket was completely wrong.
The bandages comment was just unnecessary! |
It really is a bit touchy to moan about the MOTD pundits
|
That was un called for by lineker, and lacked class.
|
Gary Lineker in acting like a c*nt shocker. I am surprised.
|
No real analisys of Bolasie's sending off and the play acting from Livermore
On the Chamack conversation, Jerome has looked quality and just what we need whenever he's been on the pitch from what I've seen |
He's just pissed off his team are a bunch of underachieving championship bottlejobs. Wouldn't worry about his comments.
|
I thought it was funny when Kilbane was giving his opinion Hansen looked so bored, it was so easy to read his mind: "Hurry up Kevin, so I can watch a game with players I've heard of".
|

The guy is a total tool, has a freak for a brother as well.
Chamakh does not deserve that and should jump all over this and tweet him back like Barton did. The pratt soon shut up when Barton said he would expose #mr squeaky clean for all the alleged allegations about his private life. |

Lineker also tweeted some sarcy comment about Pulis being worried about the good build up play to our goal yesterday.
Smug w****r. Again, laughable punditry. No alaysis of the sending off, and Kilbane so it was a 'smash and grab' performance. Sure, Hull had more possession, but only 1 more attempt at goal than us. |

I missed that Lineker comment last night, just saw it this morning. That was disgraceful.
I'm not a violent person nor do I have psychopathic tendencies but I'd like to go and buy a family bag of the worst flavoured Walkers Crisps, open the packet, do a horrible runny dump in it, seal it back closed and superglue it to baseball bat. Then walk up to him in the street and f*ck the bat and crisps across his bastard face. Bandage that one, c*nt. |
Quote:
As for his job as a pundit, he was just like someone sitting at home, slurring drunk and knackered with a mug of hot chocolate in front of him trying to stay up to watch the football, but really can't keep his eyes open. He can have some shitty crisps as well the lazy jock prick. |
Just use their snidely sneering comments as motivation . We love being the underdogs and getting written off that's our way we do things . We need this siege mentality and we as fans really get off on it . So in conclusion feck big ears , feck hanson, feck motd , feck sneering oppo fans and feck em all ! We're palace and we will not give in without a bloody good fight !
|
Reminds me a lot of the situation with Murray in his first season. We could all see he had bags of quality, but he just wasn't getting adequate service. As soon as he did look what happened.
Chamakh is clearly talented but he is isolated in most games we play. Unfortunatey one of the joys of the Premier League spotlight is that it seems to need a pantomine aspect to keep up the ratings. Chamakh was obviously chosen by the MOTD writers as the Palace villain for the season. The likes of Lineker - who I suspect hasn't even seen 90 minutes of Palace in total this season - then get to act out the script. I don't hold it against Lineker as it would have been the same whoever was presenting. I guess I just expected better given he also supports one of the less fashionable clubs. |

Was more offended by Hansens total lack of professionalism, he looked so uninterested and never has a good word to say unless it's his precious Liverpool or a spunky top 4 side
**** motd and **** the lot of em we will stay up by ourselfs!!! |
Not bothered by Lineker...
As Chocky says, Hansen has never got over the 4-3 when we started the steady demise of 'Pool... :D Of course he's right re a certain lack of quality for his beloved top half of the Prem, but don't tell me Hull were full of quality and invention... they were on a par with us yesterday - and came out losers. Indeed, I've seen a few teams who we can seriously think about finishing above now. Time to worry Mr Hansen :D |
****
|
Time for Hansen to retire (along with Brucie).
No analysis of either the sending off nor the goal line clearance in the last couple of minutes. MOTD getting very sloppy and unprofessional. At least that knob Savage wasn't on. |
Just do what I do I record the palace game and stop record when the match highlights finish then change channel before Hansen and co talk there tripe and to think they get paid for that as well.
|
I think Lineker is just bantering, in the same all football fans do, so am not that concerned about his comments. Savage however is a thick twat and he did a disgusting hatchet job on Chamakh a few weeks back that the BBC should not have allowed to be aired.
As for Hansen, think of the laziest person you have worked with but who knows exactly what he can get away with not doing, yet still has his bosses thinking he is doing with his job well. This is what Hansen does so well. Hansen's re-numeration should be investigated by the fraud squad. He is lazy, fakes knowledge and just uses cliched comment as a substitute for proper analysis. |
Lineker is very unprofessional behind the scenes to. From an ex-Producer of MOTD. He is a pretty unpleasant human being and I fail to see why the Beeb employs him. He is seriously lacking in on screen personality and has absolutley zero gravitas.

Could not even be bothered to watch the world cup qualifier, and went to a Russell Brand stand up instead. |
I don't know why people get so irate about a programme that has had its day , and a bunch of arseholes ,whose comments are worthless ?
just like the programme , which is well past its sell by date as for lineker well he is just a 1st class arse licker ..... |

The very idea of listening into a conversation between Lineker and Shearer fills me with dread. Shearer can barely string two words together and Lineker looks for every opportunity to air one of his "oh so funny" quips

Is Lineker not just having a dig at an arsenal associated player? He always seems to do that.

Lineker's comment about Pulis I think is just him kidding around. Hard to be offended by Lineker. Hansen is just a lazy, lazy pundit who phones it in week after week. It's a shame, when he first became a pundit he was interesting and a step above what we'd had. Now he just phones it in for 90% of MoTD and displays that he's only got any interest in LFC and the top clubs. Sometimes I don't blame him after that long as a pundit, it's the BBC's error for giving him a big contract and pay rise last time out and losing Lee Dixon to ITV as a consequence (who is a much better pundit)
|
Awful coverage of the game. If you looked at it as a percentage there was too much focus on showing Bruce and Pullis for long chunks rather than play. They could have shown Pullis after the match without eating into their allowance. Chamack has been doing a decent job putting himself about. One could see that getting battered twice by McShane may actually have been a bit 'naughty' and worthy of a card. Ours was the performance of the day when all MOTD has said previously was we are gone

I'm biased of course but I think we were the better side in all areas of the pitch yesterday, and comfortably so. |
Iam sure he started crying when he went off after touching his head then looking at his hand.

Got some very shady stories about Jools Holland, Gary Lineker, Ian Wright and Alan Hansen but I'll be saving them all my biography.
All I'll say is, they are as twatty as you think, |

Was very impressed with the Hull fans in the first half and a standing ovation from the Palace support as their fans battled with the stewards to get their banner back. |
Strikes me as someone who tries to be part of the one of the lads cliché and tries to be funny with his snide comments but it doesn't really work, a bit like Alan Partridge

Chamakh played very well with a bad cut and should have been given the credit he deserved.

With Lineker I always feel it;s a bit tongue in cheek. With Hansen however, and his mutterings about 'quality', it's as if he still hasn't forgiven Palace for that cup semi-final!

very interesting update on this.
Just checked his Twitter timeline and he has DELETED the tweets re Palace, clearly someone has had a word or he has realized that whilst one stand alone jokey dig in a tweet is ok, three tweets and a snide comment on air was too much yesterday. People say it's just a silly tweet here and there, but he seemed to be really gunning for us yesterday. |
