Erm, didn't he see his first goal? That was obviously crafted building from the back woven from skillful interplay between his midfielders and incisive defence splitting passes cutting through our back four. Load of bollocks.

He also reckons in the papers that his side's confidence hadn't been drained after losing a 2 goal lead at spuds. Well, imagine what it'll be like now after they've lost 2 2-goal leads on the trot - that's hardly going to be good for morale in his team. Contrast that to our camp where we've overturned deficits in the last two games to emerge victorious, gave an extremely professional performance at a non-league side, are unbeaten in the last four games in the league, three of which were away, and we have a striker who has scored 4 times in the last 3 games and we are only one place off where we finished last season. All this after feeling that there was no way that we would stay up after the Southampton debacle. Happy days.

Lineker is actually a CGI character. You can tell by those big exaggerated ears. Amazing what you can do with computers these days.

They just don't know our players, or Burnley's and they probably never will. That's why you'll only hear things like 'the Pulis effect' and 'the Pardew effect'. It's all about the top 4.

Just watched it this morning and thought they were very good about us. Very positive and we definitely had more of the post game chat than burnley.

I'll go as far as to say I missed Alan Shearer!

I think Phil Neville is turning out to be a good pundit
Talks sense and is fair to all sides

Enfield eagle 18-01-2015 09:41 AM

Just woke up. Are we on last?

Uncle Neal 18-01-2015 09:43 AM

Who cares about Dyche? All managers spout bollocks.

All I remember from last night was Lineker talking about Palace in Europe!!!

Even typing those last three words makes the hairs stand up

COYP - beat Everton

After the Benteke goal you would have thought that we would have learned our lesson.

Still a bit confused about the comment that you can't foul someone off the pitch. And it should have been a drop ball.

beef 18-01-2015 10:09 AM

I'm amazed you can find work as a pundit and clearly not watch the games or know the players.

David of Kent 18-01-2015 10:13 AM

Danny Murphy should be a permanent fixture on MoTD. Punditry nowhere near as good without him

But where are the headphones? Was that CGI as well.

davemorris04 18-01-2015 10:15 AM

Ruud Gullit is a dreadful pundit.

Yes, he's definitely one of the better ones. MOTD2 always far superior though.

I make you right there mate.

dave_who_ru 18-01-2015 10:27 AM

A perfect end to the day.

Palace on first, then we see all our relegation rivals lose, then on the Football League show defeats for Brighton, Charlton and Millwall.
