The Norwoodsman 04-03-2018 12:25 PM

Also Orlando Bloom.

Who is left to have a pop at apart from Theresa May who was acting her socks off the other day about caring for the unfortunate!

Jeremy Renner

Bad in: Mission Impossible x2, Avengers x2, Thor, Capt America Civil War, Hansel and Gretel Witch Hunters (?!), and probably many more.

Apparently good in Hurt Locker and The Town but I don't remember him in that.

True, Renner is 'bad' in shit, Hollywood franchise movies that are designed from inception to production draft to reshoot to final edit to be as simplistic and formulaic as possible, ready to be mindlessly ingested by the brain-dead, popcorn-munching youth of America and international markets such as China and India, which demand audience-pleasing, politically inoffensive fare. He also had the beta character role in most of those films, which often is used only to carry basic exposition.

Renner was good in Wind River, the underrated Bourne Legacy and very good in American Hustle and Hurt Locker, the stories for all of which had a pulse and a brain.

Haven't seen or even heard of Wild River. Seems it was last year. Didn't know that. The other three are 5-8yrs ago. Suggests that he's moved on from pulsing brain work to bulging wallet work instead. Leaving the brain outside.
