Shame he wont get the reception he so rightly deserved back at Palace this season.

Hoping for a speedy recovery. It wasn't like Yannick to stay down. On a side note, must be a bit of a concern that Evertons physio's, assessed him, sent him back on only for him to come back off 5 minutes later. ....

He never would have... Our home game with Everton is during AFCON.

Haven't heard much from him since the good display he did at Sunderland some months back.

Take it he's not pulling up any trees up there pre-injury.

Let's take you on a hypnosis act. Deep sleeeeeep. Cast your mind back 10 years. Do you see nothing but clowns? Yes I do, and I see the clowns of South London SE7 doing rather well too.

Sad though it may be, i think it may help take the pressure off him from fans for a while as i am sure they expected more especially from a 30m? player who far me has not settled fully. I am sure there were higher expectations expected amongst fans from what Koeman and the players have delivered so far.

Some people on here have been slagging SP relentlessly.

He got us 27m for Bolasie.

Kin ell. Deal of the century.

.

If you say staying up last season was worth 80m - 100m, then you are talking 2m+ per league point

Sako repaid that in his first few weeks (just as well as there was little else since)

Shame that a thread commiserating a player with a serious injury has been used by one poster to continue his crusade against SP and AP.

From what little I have seen of yala in an everton shirt....apart from against us where he looked lost......I thought he had done okay. He crestes chances which aren't converted and when a team is under performing as Evertical are the fans like our fans find fault with everyone and everything. If some of the chances were converted the attitude would change. If the person he crosses to can't hit the target it's not his fault. Same as with wilf. He creates opportunities but they are or were mostly wasted

desperado 09-12-2016 03:49 PM

Just seen the news of Yala's unfortunate injury having just got home from hospital

Fractured a kneecap and have had the two pieces wired back together and can confirm to anyone that hasn't had a serious knee injury it f***ing hurts!

Speedy recovery Yala

Wow. That is sad if correct.

Yoda 09-12-2016 05:38 PM

The incident looked quite innocuous at the time.....poor Yannick, that's a long time out the game.

I do miss his grin whilst playing for Palace, even though we saw less of it during last season.

He'll be knocked for six by such a set back and I hope he recovers fully eventually.

Mictor Voses 09-12-2016 05:46 PM

Really hope that doesn't affect his style of play when he gets back to fitness. He's an incredibly brave and direct player and this injury may affect that.

All the best Yala.
