I guess you can't drop the mike when you type... But I hope you dropped your phone or whatever device you used? On to a soft surface of course.

BBC have given hom MotM and that's without mentioning what he did with the ball after winning it. Excellent display today.

I'm sure we'll eventually coach that out of him.

Jeff Schlupp is in trouble.

jhc 11-01-2020 03:57 PM

All credit to him.
He's really turned his form around.

I still think PVA walks straight back in to the team when he is fully fit.

No question that will happen, but Jairo is no left back anyway. However I really hope the gaffer includes him in his plans now, because it would be a waste to get rid of him

I have been a critic too but thought he did well today. Not as well as some of you seem to.

He made a bit of a mess of a ball close to the edge of our box which required a superb defensive block from McCarthy to save us.

Generally good though and certainly looks far more comfortable at left back than he did a few weeks ago.

Agree with that. Clearly improving and doing better than we could have expected, but still looks like he might have a mistake in him or get stretched by someone more athletic/pacey.

Would have preferred him on corners and free kicks over McCarthy today.

I have to say that was a display today from a player I didnít think we had MOM

I think the one who ought to be having issues getting back in is Milivojevic.

This. Riedewald is staking a claim to be put in the midfield area. He's proven he can do defensive work, he looks great just what we need in midfield imo. We need PVA for his pace and attacking ability alone!!

Happy Arthur 11-01-2020 04:07 PM

I'm delighted for him. Moved to a foreign country to play for a Dutch manager. That goes to pot after a few weeks, then frozen out. Must have been quite a lonely time for him.

Said Durch manager who also allegedly upset him too after just signing him. :moo:

Agreed.

Wow, a midfielder that can pass! Left footed as well. Perfect in a 3 man midfield. He's better than James McCarthy and James McArthur as a technical footballer IMHO.

Have to agree, that could be a very powerful triangle. Pace, skill, passing and movement.

Celestial Empire 11-01-2020 04:14 PM

Be nice to see what the two skillful Dutchmen can do together, on the left.

NorthPalace23 11-01-2020 04:17 PM

I like what I see of him.

I'd prefer more pace in centre mid as well, but agree you have to start on the flanks!

Pikie Punisher 11-01-2020 04:27 PM

Nothing better than seeing a player written off by many come good and push on, like a new signing, especially good at the current time, great to see :) , well done son, keep it up :p
