Loaned to a Premiership club last season, now being loaned to a Fizzy drink league club this season? Not the sign of an improving player.

He's an A grade prat for starters. Good skills but I'm not too sure about his attitude.
I'm not bothered.

Saw this mentioned in the Observer this morning. He has a lot of skill and I think Dowie's regime could be good for him. I would be glad to see him join, but I am puzzled- I would have thought one of the lower level premiership clubs more likely.

bundles of talent. im not sure where we would play him though.

Iain Dowie 17-07-2005 08:46 AM

Our midfeild is big enough as it is,do we really need another one!

Get him in! The midfield creater we've been dying for. Can also score goals. Would be very pleased with this if it's true.

(suprised he hasnt gone back to Norwich though?!)

Good question :D

But i still think he'll be more creative than our current lot. AJ would thrive off him.

Thing is, you absolutely couldn't play him in central midfield, particularly in this division (well, you couldn't do it in the Premiership either). I suppose you could play him down either wing, but in any case I think he's a bit of a disruptive influence. Having said that, Dowie/McDonald know best.

Norwich played him on the wing didnt they? I thought he looked very dangerous against us at home. Did he not get an assist as well? Both footed i think.

he actually used to play centre mid on occassions for england youth teams and did work up and down.

Would be a good signing, stops him going back to Norwich as well. Best story in the papers today was in the NoW, SJ's latest conquest, Meg Matthews. Lovely picture of them arm in arm in spain with SJ wearing a Palace top. He's the boy

HARRY MONK 17-07-2005 09:34 AM

spoke to him after the norwich game, says he wanted to join us last season but as we went up in play offs norwich deal had been done.
