Darren Ambrose, I am sure his shots used to speed up.

Yes the older balls a lot more difficult to hit hard.

So i see Cliff Holton played for the club between 1962-1965 scoring 40 goals.

My 1st game was in 1980 so didn't get a chance to see him play!

You missed a gem mate.:p

Indeed at the Goldstone, on a heavily peated icy pitch. He had yellow gloves on nothing else.

Colin Taylor had a thunderbolt shot on him too.

He hit that volley with insane power the other day.

one of the hardest shots I'd ever seen was Shearers first on his Blackburn debut. Sako's at Brighton was close :)

Eagle's Away 18-01-2018 08:40 AM

I noted in the awful cup game vs Brighton that at one stage he collected the ball and even with supporting players he strode forward and thumped the ball to no avail. Interestingly there was a shot of Roy on the touchline putting his thumbs up, so clearly Roy has encouraged him to 'have a go'. Of course later he scored a very good goal. Yet another example of Roy's wisdom.
I think we should also encourage him from the stands, how about a banner

'Bak Sak have a crack'

(I will get my coat)

Interestingly just watched a segment on eagles.cpfc about his boots he has a loooot. But the ones he's been wearing recently are the ones he had at Wolves (scored 15 or so from midfield in his last season) I can't help wonder if the boots are 'helping' at least in his mind.

Maybe it's like that old comic strip Billy's Boots updated to Bacary's Boots

Delaney said that he would wear them even now however I think even he knew he'll never play again. Bakary seems a very genuine nice guy to be fair.

RH on Bakary's injury: We don't have the luxury of losing a forward player. It doesn't look good. Our medical team are very good and they aren't optimistic.

Feel sorry for Sako. Put in so much effort for us and now a possible injury.

SeanPalace84 30-01-2018 10:49 PM

Couldn't make it up

Eddie McGoldrick's tash 30-01-2018 10:51 PM

Oh dear. Sadly his whole Palace career has been affected by injuries. He lacked composure tonight but we certainly miss him if he is out of action.

Mictor Voses 30-01-2018 10:59 PM

Looked in a really bad way when he went off. Couldn't put any weight on his leg at all.

Sick Bucket 30-01-2018 11:13 PM

******* hell, just what we don't need, wonder how long before someone posts on here slagging him off for being a sicknote. Massive pisser if we lose him and AT

Mr Palace 30-01-2018 11:18 PM

Townsend was ok at the end - he took a knock but I doubt that will keep him out of Sunday.

Losing Sako would be a huge blow. We need reinforcements asap.
