The Edge- fascinating documentary about the Flower/Strauss era England cricket team.

Watched it last night. A must for anyone vaguely interested in cricket.

Been watching Brassic on catchup. Love it! Hilarious, Joe Gilgun is brilliant. I know he plays the same sort of character in everything but he does it so well.

The main guy, the son of the dead gang boss is one of the worst actors Iíve ever come across.

Rewatching Better Call Saul with the Doris, it’s a masterpiece.

I was actually going to mention him in my post but I'm in a benevolent mood.

The Secret Mediterranean With Trevor McDonald

A very enjoyable watch. Not really many secrets, but fantastic scenery, wonderful music, and smooth presentation from Mr McDonald. He's a gem.

Ive been working my way through Real Detective on Netflix.

It's a combination of re-enactment and documentary with the lead detective describing the murder case that affected them the most. It's addictive viewing and the format works very well, just a shame they're all American cases- would be nice to see ones from around the world.

Honestly don't bother.

Stop watching now and save those wasted hours for something for productive. Like sleeping.

Thanks, I canít believe the hype it has been given.
It reminds me of an A level media studies film.

Watching "The Last Narco" on amazon, having watched Narcos mexico, I thought, here we go more of the same. How wrong was I, this is the real version of events of the kidnapping , torture and murder of DEA agent Kiki Camerada, it is compelling viewing, disturbing, shocking , very sad and makes you realize why people believe in conspiracy theories, especially when the states are involved. An absolute must watch.

I managed ten minutes. Cack. But then, I feel the same about half of the shite recommended on this thread. ;)

PeterH 08-08-2020 01:41 AM

But Stella, don't you see this thread as a very decent filyer like the movie one.

I am staggered by the quantity of TV and movie production - what a massive waste of money must be thrown at producing what is 90% crap ...horror movies and formulaic comedies.

I was blind to it until I was given a decent streamer. I really thought it was just your Netflixes, Amazons, Sky Atlantics, HBOs etc. and your BBCs, ITVs and American networks....Oh was I wrong...
