Jordan Ayew £4million

Roy Hodgson wants to make Jordan Ayew his first summer signing in a £4million deal following his loan at Crystal Palace.

Ayew, 27, has been at Selhurst Park for the season and is set to make a permanent switch when the window opens.

Only blessing is that this comes from the sun and i wouldn't believe the date in that publication.

Hahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahaha

Er, no

TAK 12-04-2019 03:04 PM

Depends on his salary. If reasonable then four mil is good business for a quality back up player who is only 27.

SOUTHGATE EAGLE 12-04-2019 03:05 PM

Well, that's a nice start to the summer transfer rumour madness to come. Please don't be true...

mb23 12-04-2019 03:07 PM

Probably in the minority who wouldn't be against this...

Totally agree, £4m for a quality back up player is good business

How much do you think Ayew is worth though ?

Malarkey 12-04-2019 03:07 PM

Welcome Jordan :)

Just waiting for the news that the club will offer Sako a revised contract

thomasbroad 12-04-2019 03:11 PM

If it means we can get Daniel James as well...

El Aguila 12-04-2019 03:12 PM

Our Phil Barber

andyocpfc 12-04-2019 03:13 PM

For 4 million, he's probably worth a go as he'll be a good squad player (like Campbell was) and can be called upon when needed in injury crisis and early stages of the cup. That said, he shouldn't be anywhere near a starting place in the PL. I don't thnk we'd get much better with his experience for that sort of money.

aj4england 12-04-2019 03:13 PM

Roy obviously rates Ayew more than Wickham. If it is a choice between the two then for me I keep Wickham, but looks like Roy wants Wickham moved on, so £4m for a 4th choice striker isnt THAT bad

Just heard southampton may let Long go , Huddersfield paid Charlton around a million or so for Grant , still might be worth taking a chance on a lower division player, but Roy will play safe with Jordan.

Eddie McGoldrick's tash 12-04-2019 03:16 PM

That would represent very good value. For £4m I'd be very pleased to get him although I wonder if Ayew himself would be keen considering how little football he's had recently.

READING EAGLE 12-04-2019 03:20 PM

With Benteke on the pitch he went from worst player to MOM. Good forward just not a centre forward, one up top type.

bigend1 12-04-2019 03:21 PM

If true hopefully as a squad player not intended for the the lone striker role

Good squad player and reasonable fee. If wages are ok then thatís not bad

My thoughts exactly , very good as back up but doubt he will be happy with so little game time

macstar 12-04-2019 03:24 PM

Is he injured? He hasn't had a kick in 6 weeks...

Yoda 12-04-2019 03:27 PM

Can’t see him wanting to return to Swansea, so it does make sense.

Depends on whether he’s happy to be a Prem sub, or wants more game time. If the latter then he’ll probably need to look beyond the EPL.

Setting our sights high I see.
