Wrong Man.

From the same people that investigated the Memphis Three, this series takes a look at three other cases of potential injustice. It's a bit slow for the first 20 minutes, I guess to give a little background, then the story really begins to unfold. I've only watched the first two episodes, but enjoyed watching how the team work, particularly the main investigator. Those who enjoyed 'Making a Murderer' will probably like this one too.

I watched it via Prime having signed up for the free seven day trial of Starzplay (monthly subscriptions are £5.99), but will most likely cancel on Wednesday because I'm a miser. I did notice that Mr Mercedes was on there too, so if you can watch the whole ten episodes in a week, you're on a winner.

Another vote for Killing Eve, halfway through the series on BBC iplayer and thoroughly enjoying it. The woman playing the assassin is great to watch, a psychopath for sure - but a very engaging psychopath. Good supporting characters as well...

7 episodes in out of 10 of Trust about the Getty kidnapping- riveting.

I gave up on it about half way through. Feels as if it was written by a committee: formulaic and derivative.

Corrie from 1990 on ITV3. Better than the stuff they’re pumping out now - much more authentic of everyday life.

I’m watching Parade’s End again. It really is very very very good.

Loved Palin's North Korea, the first couple of episodes of Strangers on ITV which was a lot better than expected, and finally, a bit late on this one - The Bletchley Circle. We enjoyed this, such a shame there isn't more of them. Not enough good old fashioned murder mystery programmes on the box anymore, and the ones that are, normally end up a bit poo.

Just finished Happy! on Netflix. Was alright, decent action and a little surreal.

Ozark...series 2 now out on Netflix, it's great stuff.

Flying through Designated Survivor. Very corny but still enjoyable. Our own Jim Piddock featured a few episodes back.

Started Westworld this weekend which I had been meaning to start for a long time, thoroughly enjoyed the first 5 episodes.

I seem to remember I got a lump in my throat at the ending, in a good way.

Enjoyed Killing Eve and The Cry looks promising so far.

They move him to an area in case bomb goes off - then allow him to move and let him disarm the bomb outside his block of flats !

I thought it shit after the first episode. I really couldn't understand what all the fuss was about. I guess it just had a good looking lead that Britain's housewives could wet their knickers over.

The Circle.

Big Brother-esque format but the contestants live in separate flats within one big block, aren't allowed to meet or speak to each other and only communicate with each other using a texting app displayed on a big screen in each flat. Bit like the BBS. This of course means that they can tell a load of lies of about who they are which would otherwise be easy to see through. Bit like the BBS.

Not as compelling as it might have been (quite repetitive in fact, even for a reality TV show, bit like the BBS) but a very unique concept and worth a watch of at least one episode.

The Looming Tower (amazon Prime Drama/doc ) The 10 year build up to 9/11 shown from all perspectives absolutely gripping TV ended up watching all ten episodes over a weekend.

Agreed. Class drama. Better that Bodyguard and Killing Eve because it's more believable.

Really enjoyed Ray Donovan. Jon Voight is superb.

Travelers - Time travellers coming back fro the future to save us all
Westside - 70's-80's Kiwi crime family drama
Lodge 49 - Hard to describe, but a good show, very off kilter
Tour Of Duty - Vietnam war drama
Mystery Road - Aussie drama
Mr Inbetween - only 6 episodes, but a grower

after a slow start Better Call Saul S4 has reached its usual standard. Character work still as good as it gets

That last episode was laughable. Leave this shit to the yanks I think

BBC4’s There She Goes is a tough watch. David Tennant and Jessica Hynes very good.

I thought the first series was brilliant. But I got pissed off with it somewhere around season 3 or 4 - it just got stupid.

I've just been binging and finished Making a Murderer. I started off thinking, 'how are they going to get 10 episodes out of this???' - then it all went flipping crazy!!! Quite frustrating though. It reminded me very much of the Audio Podcast 'Serial' Season 1.

What shall I watch now? Hmmmm...

Only up to ep 6 of 10 but so far extremely creepy and extremely bloody good.

I've finally got around to starting to watch Peaky Blinders Season 4. Still not on UK Netflix so I downloaded it via torrents instead. Up yours Netflix!

Informant on BBC is pretty good.
Much more plausible than Bodyguard.

Season 2 of mr mercedes is rather good.

I feared the worst in the first few episodes but it has won be over with the later episodes.

Yep, I am another fan of Haunting of Hilll House. Only one episode to go. Whilst I found it just a touch slow in places, which seems inevitable with the 10 episode series format, there is a distinct creepy atmosphere throughout and a few jump scares to boot. V enjoyable!

Sacrifice (Netflix)

The new Derren Brown one off. I love his stuff, but although the participent agrees to it, it's quite close to the line morally speaking, in a way, sort of. This time, Derren brainwashes somebody that hates immigrants... It's really very good.

I do wonder how many (if any) of these 'mentalist' types are employed by the armed forces and in what capacity. Terrorist organisations too. It's shady stuff when you think about it, free will and all that.

Caught up with the last episode of Simon Reeves Mediterranean. Very good series gets to the real issues and people all around the Med and comes up with a few conclusions that will make politicians squirm a bit.

Having now finished Seinfeld ( probably the funniest show ever) now on Series 1 of Veep.

Just watched the first episode of 'Homecoming' on Amazon. I can't say just yet how good it's going to be, but it's definitely got me intrigued.

The first episode of WW1 The Last Tommies , moving, informative and excellent stock footage. Recommended, all three episodes are on the I Player.
