Being trying to watch People just do nothing, but the main character MC Grinder reminds me of my old boss too much and winds me up.

I can't decide whether I like it or not, I think I do but it's a bit too painful to watch sometimes. |

Anyone watched any Drunk History?
discovered it by accident last night. |
I’m currently watching Mad Men.
It may well be my favourite show ever. I’ve watched nearly 6 series in little under a month. I love everything about it. The setting, the way the show washes over you, how 75% of the characters are utterly hateful yet you feel sorry for them (apart from Pete). I’ve read most of the Preacher comics so want to finish those before I watch the series, but super excited to watch it. Will Give Stranger Things a watch when I’m done with that. It’s amazing how the way people consume media/television has changed over the last 5 years. How many people actually watch TV when it’s live on telly now? If it’s not sport I can think of very few shows that I will stay in for to watch live. |
One episode of Gomorrah season 2 to go.
It's the only thing I've seen recently that has come close to Fargo, which remains the best television I've seen in years. Considering trying Deadwood next. |
National treasure on 4OD , we have some great dramas in this country.
|
I go for comedies usually..... Really enjoyed binge watching Sharon Horgans Catastrophe ..... and Boomers. Both series were hilarious IMO.
Oh and totally left of center, if you like those foodie/road trip type shows.... Then Gourmet Farmer with Matthew Evans.... This show will open your eyes on what a well kept secret Tasmania is and one of the best places in the world to live a quiet life..... River cottageish.... but far more raw. I reckon its the best show in that Genre. |

Cottonmouth is a shit villain though. Not a patch on Fisk. |
Daredevil season 1. Impressive
|
Two episodes into a new HBO series called Westworld. About a wild west resort staffed by super realistic robots who are becoming self aware, based on a Micheal Crichton book and a 1973 movie.
|
I'm now sold on Rick and Morty after about three attempts to get it
|
Taking Fire on Discovery is rivetting. Not sure I will ever watch a war film after this as this is as real as it gets, because it is real. Soldiers covered a year in Afghanistan with cameras on their helmets and bodies and filmed everything their platoon had to go through. Bloody frightening to see and hear what they did, including their buddies getting killed or terribly injured and trying to get the injured away whilst under fire. Especially when the medic got shot through the neck himself in last week's episode and he had to tell the back up how to treat him whilst thinking he had no chance anyway. But he survived.
A million times better than Ross Kemp's shite where bugger all seemed to ever happen. |

Cinema in Naewcastle like. |
Skinhead = tonight 9pm BBC4. Documentary covering the bovver boy era.

The Missing S2 will be one to watch over the next couple of months
|
Nat Geo's series 'Facing' certain leaders. They have people interviewed who were very close to them. Facing Saddam Hussein was this week and last week was Facing Putin. I think next week is Facing Mullery where Peter Ward tells us about shooting and cumming all over Mullery's bum, then goes on to tell us who was up him.

Crystal Maze Celebrity Edition on C4 On Demand. It was brilliant.

Just finished watching Fargo, series 1. Loved it :)
|
Watched the first couple of episodes of 'Jessica Jones' last night and found it a lot better than I thought it would be. It's quite noir in tone and has the added bonus of Luke Cage playing an important role. I enjoyed Luke Cage series too.
Not a recommendation, as I'm certain everyone has seen it, but I caught an episode of 'Only Fools...' the other day and it made me realise just how poor the majority of new tv comedy has become. My son asked me why people were laughing in the background:). |
Another series of Ordinary Lies tonight on BBC1 at 9:00pm. The first one was good although this has a totally different cast and storyline. Hopefully it's the same writers.
|
Just watched the pilot for Designated Survivor. Not sure. It may well be shite as it reminds me of a crap Tom Clancy book (alternatively known as a Tom Clancy book)
|
Bosch on Amazon prime. Literally the only good program on there.

Just seen the first episode of Westworld.
Looking very promising. Made me want to watch the next one. |

Same here and the next episode. Put together the worst bits of 24, west wing and house of cards (theyve even nicked the intro music from HoC and use it as background during the program) and you get designated survivor. |

New show started on USA network over here last week: Eyewitness.
Basic premise is 2 teenagers witnessing a multiple murder. Drug related with FBI undercover agent one of the murdered. Local town cop (female) investigates with FBI trying to cover up. First episode showed a lot of promise. |
Just realised that the bloke in Teachers is Rick from the walking dead.

Apparently The Missing Series 2 has already started so the missus tells me.

Goliath on Amazon Prime. Highly Recommend. I have just watched the first three episodes in a row. Looking forward to the next five but I have to go to bed. Starring Billy Bob Thornton. Really good reviews as well.
"Once a powerful lawyer, Billy McBride is now a washed up ambulance chaser, who spends more time in bars than the courtroom. When Billy reluctantly agrees to pursue a wrongful death lawsuit against the massive law firm he helped create, a vast and deadly conspiracy comes to light. Billy and his team end up in a life-or-death trial against the ultimate foe, which could end up helping Billy find redemption and exact revenge on the firm." |
Anyone watched Atlanta being advertised on Fox at the moment?

Just begun watch Glitch on Netflix - Australian drama in the mould of The Returned, with people returning from the dead and they cannot leave the immediate vicinity of the town.
Only 3 episodes in but it is good so far with some interesting characters. My only gripe so far is the equanimity with which people who supposedly have been dead for 100+ years accept all of the trappings of modern life (cars, electricity, etc.) without so much as a blink. |
Divorce with SJP written by Sharon Horgan of Catastrophe fame is promising
|
not too sure I'd recommend it because I found it very disturbing indeed, caught the last 20 mins on C4 60 Days in Jail, a reality TV show where a group of civvies are banged in a jail with real convicts, the closing scene showed one of the contestants brutally attacked, this cant be real surely? or was it mocked up to look like he was attacked?
|
Quote:
When they finally showed the assault it was quite tame if you get my meaning, more of a heavy slap if it's the same one you're talking about. Good tv though. |

I'm currently watching Gomorrah (in dribs and drabs when the wife's not about - she's not into gangster) and Daredevil which is way better than I'd expected, probably the best of the three Netflix Marvel Universe ventures imo. |
Really enjoyed Preacher on Prime. Original plot with a thick vein of dark humour.
