The Official BBS Cyclist Scummers Club - Next Outing - Brighton run, Sun 26th July

I thought I'd start a new thread so anything I write doesn't get lost amongst pages and pages of bickering about the interpretation of the highway code.

A while back many of us said we were up for this ride on the 6th September from Richmond to Windsor.

Who is still on board?

But will we be taking out any pedestrians as part of this ride?
If not, I'm out.

Psychokiller 24-08-2009 11:52 AM

I'll be driving alongside in my car sticking an iron bar into your spokes and getting my passenger to open the door and knock you flying.

stevek 24-08-2009 11:54 AM

Me.

Adlerhorst 24-08-2009 11:54 AM

I don't know now. I have friends flying in from NYC that day.

However I will have let all the air out of PK's tyres on my way to Richmond or Heathrow (whichever I have to go to).

How can you and a passenger both attack a cyclist from different sides of the car? Or do you make your passengers sit in the back of your car?

Because you lycra fetishists don't tend to stick to one side of the road anyway.

PK - if you tag along, you could open fire when you get to Windsor and take out two of your 'scum' targets at once!

damn!! i'll be on holibobs, although it's a bit far for me, i might have managed Richmond to Twickenham :o

I may do it, problem is I will be out late the night before, so if I do I will be starting at 10:30, however I am not confirmed.

I will say though to any first timers on this ride, it is a nice one. If you can do the 37 miles, there is a really nice section through a forest (on road), I have not done the shorter route though, there maybe something even nicer that way!!!

Its a good ride, not to taxing, only a couple of little hills.

Will this be a bike swapping meet?

You all meet up and throw one of your useless handlebar adornments into a cycling helmet and then take someone elses pushbike to a room for a night of passion and frolics?

Adlerhorst 25-08-2009 12:00 PM

Anyone done the route before. i.e. is it all road?
