Some Bundesliga clubs are also believed to be scouting Dikgacoi with Nurnberg, Bayer Leverkusen and Werder Bremen amongst those checking on him in recent weeks
This part interested me the most Leverkusen.

:eek::eek::eek::eek:

NO.

Gark Moldberg 12-12-2013 12:52 PM

Agent throws around club names? Not Barcelona though!

chav_hater 12-12-2013 12:57 PM

Wouldn't be too surprised if clubs similar in size to us were looking at KG; he is better on the ball than most give him credit for. Leverkusen is a bit left-field though.

davematt 12-12-2013 12:58 PM

If they are willing to pay 5m it would be tough to turn it down...;)

EDIT - Maybe not; didn't know he was in a contract year!

Psychokiller 12-12-2013 01:00 PM

He's a very good technical player, anyone who doesn't see the contribution he makes knows little about football. Personally I'd be gutted to lose him.

He's proved to be important to us in that we miss him when he isn't in there performing the role he does. I have however never been a huge fan and I still remain of the opinion that he is one of the players that will need upgrading, should we be serious about a spell in the premier league.

I am not sure he is the kind of player that would be much good as a squad player. Not unless you were prepared to supervise meal times.

kolinkins 12-12-2013 01:01 PM

Oddly underrated - we (and especially Jedi) function much better with him in the side.

TheCharmer 12-12-2013 01:05 PM

strange that we've let one of our starting 11 get to this stage without having contract renewal talks.

We are a better side when KG is in it.

Leverkusen have an abundance of Central Midfielders, particularly Holding players (Rolfes, Bender, Reinartz) I can't see why they would want him.

Agree. Our record with the Delaney - Gabbidon and Jedi - KG partnership all playing is incredibly good.

As a 4 they make us very very solid.

Lol yet Nurnberg and Werder Bremen are similar size to us? Both of those clubs I am afraid are much bigger than us.

Indeed. For us, a sum of players needs to take precedence over individual ability.

A midfield of Jedi, Bannan and Williams will be one some so-called purists will long for this season. But just because they have more talent doesn't mean the team automatically benefits.

NorthPalace23 12-12-2013 01:11 PM

Our most under rated player.

Ash 12-12-2013 01:11 PM

Totally committed player, possibly our most consistent so far this season. Decent.

This.

I expected this thread to be full of the usual bellends saying "Sell him, he's rubbish" but there appear to be some sensible posters on here

Our best performances and winning runs have come with KG and Jedinak in the middle. He's never going to be a Xavi, but as a shield for the back four he does a great job.

The criticism he gets reminds me of the treatment Leigertwood got in our last Premier League season. Yet when he left our midfield was significantly weakened and he went on to play regularly in the Premier League.

Malarkey 12-12-2013 01:15 PM

His partnership with Jedinak is the heart of our team.
