Thanks for this - very interesting and well produced. Much of what is said is true - creeping change over years, aversion to a military crackdown - but it seems to assume the people will be persuaded by a cleverer Chief Executive to quietly accept their fate of eventual total China-isation. This is really very unlikely and misreads how much people cherish their freedoms.

Anyways To view the link you have to Register or Login for the police. Yesterday's and Saturday's confrontations have produced blanket condemnation in local media at the liberal use of teargas in narrow residential streets with the resulting slam dunk of old people and children overcome.
