God Bless old Bert, rarely did an interview and could you imagine him trying to steal the players limelight by doing that stupid dance that Pardew did at Wembley. A different era, a different breed.
Does anyone remember the old boy encroaching on the field with his walking stick when Lazurus scored. Mark helped walk him off the pitch, back to the Old Enclosure.
Now you mention it, I do remember the old boy - and the bloke who ambled onto the pitch too! Funny how all the individual memories can build such a magnificent picture of such a great day. I must be getting old and soppy!
