AT very good player cant see the problem with him giving an opinion. Id take a hard working player like him against a slightly better player who fails to track back and you can bet RH would as well. Hope we see him and Wilf get right back to form tonight after slow starts.

Stupid decision and comments by Andros, he needs to replace his **** rag and get a bit more of a sense of humour and humility about his sacred profession

Not only are these poor little professional footballers genetic lottery winners, get paid millions of pounds a year, adored and worshipped by society, they also need to be treated with the respect and unquestioned reverence of a holocaust survivor nurse who volunteers at weekends saving kittens. And don’t dare make a light hearted joke on social media about them slipping over.

Deciding what’s right based on what club they support is pretty childish too.

Again, no one has said we can’t enjoy Saturday’s win for goodness sake. Can’t you see the difference in the tweet in question and the other ones that the club posted?

I’m beginning to wonder if we’re all looking at the same clip?

For Wilf to ‘completely skin’ someone, I’d expect to see a clip of him beating a player by going past him, or at least crossing the ball successfully.

He does a dummy cross which Young attempts to block and consequently falls over, but then Young gets up and Wilf hits a real cross straight at him. It’s debatable whether Wilf’s cross was simply a bit rubbish, or whether Young anticipated well where he should be to block it.

But either way, it’s not that impressive a clip and I can see what Andros is getting at.

I just think Townsend failed to grasp the full context of the tweet and should not have commented. That it was Ashley Young getting beaten made it that much sweeter for many Palace fans. I am also a sucker for tricks and dribbling skills myself, and enjoy watching great technical skill and trickery, not just the goals. And another example, I thought that Pogba's tackle on Wilf for their equalizer was absolutely fantastic, probably the best bit of individual skill of the match, and I was happy that Roy Hodgson acknowledged that in his post match comments. It's not just about the shots on goal.

Wilf could easily have crossed the ball after he put Young on his arse but obviously didn’t see any options open. By the time he decided to cross the angle was tight and the cross was poor. Nothing to do with great defending!

Please show me where I said it was ‘great defending’?

The point is, that clip really isn’t that brilliant....Wilf ends up with no end product and Young is briefly on his butt. So what....watch on Saturday and you’ll see our defenders trying to anticipate crosses and shots too. Sometimes they get it right, sometimes they hit the grass.

It’s a ‘meh’ clip.

He was played in pretty much every game last season because we have no creative cover, we only buy defensive midfielders of which we have 5! We've burnt him out, he's done

Even with bearing mind Mr.Townsend is right to a certain extent with the block Wilf still turned him inside out but that being said you stick to playing football Andros and we will give some harmless banter to a player that has had the better of us for near on 15 years if it's through cheating for penalties or just being a fantastic player for his club...(spit)...
