But go ahead and believe the world is going to end and give away even more of your freedom and rights (and money) in this scam.

You've got to be pretty blind if you don't think we've got some pretty serious environmental issues facing us all.

Are we seriously going to let all the rainforests burn and continue routinely dumping tonnes and tonnes plastic in our oceans etc etc etc and call anyone who objects alarmist?

You've also gotta be pretty blind to protest on one of the cleanest transportation systems in the world.
And then get the f*cking shit kicked out of you.

Oops!

You're a moron.

Even the UK government has declared that we are in a state of climate emergency - the fact that they aren't willing to commit the resources to deal with it is a different matter.

The only people that don't think drastic action is needed immediately are either morons or are too selfish to accept that drastic changes to our lifestyles are required.

Must be right then, those clever people in government say so

They declare a lot of things - like going to war with Iraq over lies about WMDs. I wonder how much change to the climate that caused with all the war machines, bombs and decaying bodies.

Completely - there are serious issues that humans are causing. But its too simplistic to put everything under the umbrella of human caused climate change and climb on top of a DLR train.

People behind the agenda are pulling on our heart strings with images of polar bears, ice caps melting etc so nobody challenges what we're being told, but a lot of it doesnt stack up.

Totally agree. Isn't that more than a tad hypocritical, seeing how some jerks decided to sit on the top of trains at Canning Town?? Should have walked or hired a Boris Bike. Complete morons. I would give the commuters who dragged them off a medal.

Then the 'even-handed BBC' gave a long interview to a 'camerman' who was filming. Turns out the bearded, semi-literate tosser was one of the protesters making a home video.

What has a train in Canning Town (I worked over there for years - piss them off at your peril; damn fool choice ) got to do with deforestation in Brazil? How do all these protesters heat their houses? Or get to the supermarket? Butterfly flaps its wings and all that. Go over there and protest at the REAL crimes - if they dare. But they will probably need to fly....)

More CO2 does cause more infrared radiation to be absorbed and re-emitted in the atmosphere. Why can't you just simply say that you agree on this simple point?

I worked in the Canning Town/Silvertown area in the early 90's and its not an area upper middle class types should want to protest in.

Oh dear...

I'm sure you can find yourself, founder Aurelio Peccei and the article was 'the first global revolution'.

Also have a look at the connected CFR quotes from the president Richard Haass calling for a 'world order 2.0' and the concept of 'soverign obligation' which would obligate countries not to do anything that adversely affected other countries or the world in general. Reason he gives is to save the planet from human-caused climate change.

Although this ‘emergency’ seems to have come out of nowhere over the last few years and ramped up heavily this year, it’s been planned out long before.

As you’ll know, the club of rome is heavily behind the agenda and has been since the ’60s as it was created specifically to use the environment as an excuse to transform human society. ‘To save the planet, this needs to happen’ – and to save the global planet you need global centralisation of power to save the planet. Then came along the UNs agenda 21 that laid out the strategy for transforming society to meet the challenge of ‘climate change’. Then more recent they have advanced it and called it agenda 2030 which is basically a tyranny’s dream because it dictates every area of human life including education to ‘save the planet’.

One of Soros’ big progressive puppets Cortez has recently came out and said ‘we have 12 years to save the planet’ – classic case of who cares about the scientific evidence, let’s talk a load of rubbish to speed up the agenda and spread fear so people demand ‘something needs to be done’, especially the gullible young who they are targeting (see greta and co). Cortez just came out now (and its got a lot of support in the democratic party in the us) with the Green New Deal, which demands the plan to transform human society into a centralised dictatorship on the justification on we have to do this to save the planet.

Not that people crying to be saved like to read more than headlines these days, but check out a book called ‘The Climate Chronicles’ by Joe Bastardi who has been obsessed with the weather and everything about it since he was a young boy – he has researched and shown charts going back forever and looked at the global warming claims, and shows the repeating cycles that cause the outcome. In the 1920’s there was a cycle where the Atlantic cools and the pacific warms. There’s another cycle where the pacific cools and the Atlantic warms. That has a knock on effect that eventually reaches a weather outcome. He was pointing in the book that when this sequence happens today everyone shouts “its global warming we’re all gonna die”, then goes back and shows in the 1950, 40s etc the same cycle was happening then that’s happening today. But today the planet is nowhere near as warm as it was back in the Medieval Warm Period where there were obviously no carbon dioxide emissions from technology to blame it on. Then he talks about the “little ice age” that followed, people skating on the Thames etc. He also describes in detail how much more extreme weather events we have had throughout history compared to what we have had over the last 50 years or so, and how we didn’t dramatise hurricanes by giving them names etc, all a mental game on our perceptions.

The science hasn’t been settled about human-caused climate change, we shouldn’t try and shut down the debate and let funded children like greta talk in simplistic terms about complex issues just to push through peoples agendas behind the scenes.

Interesting quote from the Club of Rome (connected to the Bilderberg group, trilateral commission, and the UN’s council on foreign relations) back in 90s;

“In searching for a new enemy to unite us, we came up with the idea that pollution, the threat of global warming, water shortages, famine and the like would fit the bill”
Important point here is that it's unlikely to result in the death of the planet or even the extinction of the human race. That's hyperbole of extremism. It's likely outcome is an extinction level threat that is going to wipe out a lot of life, and likely collapse human civilisation of no reversal occurs, based on most models of human population expansion and pollution levels. This would be a catastrophic situation that likely ends humanity as we know it, and possibly even extinction of homo sapians.

The planet will likely recovet, evolution kind of results in that, and some species will flurish as a result.

It's probably going to be pretty horrible to live through, but as long as no full scale nuclear wars are involved recovery of some kind of ecosystem will occur. Just likely one where humans aren't at best compare to more than a sparse Hunter gatherer species numbering a tiny percentage of indigenous species.

Life is very resistant humans less so

That's going to happen anyway, whether we start it or not.

We can all make an effort to make changes that collectively will make a massive difference and if that message can spread world wide than it can have a huge difference.

Personally i can't stand the situation with plastic and the dumping of plastic in the oceans. We could all help by not buying things like plastic plates and cutlery, trying to buy food not covered in plastic, recycling diligently and trying to use as little plastic as possible. Then perhaps we could put pressure on governments to tax the producers of plastic and make them be responsible for the disposing or recycling the plastic they are producing.

We could all reduce our carbon footprints massively very very very easily within your own homes, by what we eat, by using planes and cars a lot less and with our spending power influence what manufacturers produce.

I thought the tube protest was ridiculous and unnecessary but bringing these issues into the minds of everyone is a very good thing IMHO and these too weeks has been a massive success for XR.

A protester is now climbing Big Ben. Hopefully he'll get dragged down by loads of timekeeping fans and given a right good ticking.
