It really hasn't.

They've been humiliated in TV interviews, they've been called hypocrites when pictures of them eating in fast food restaurants surfaced, they've held up the emergency services and they are protesting in a country which actually acknowledges a real crisis.

Tell me where this has been considered a success?

The sheer amount it’s been in the media has been a massive success. Getting someone on Question time to talk about something other than Brexit. To get everyone talking and writing about it like me and you, to get lots of celebrities to come out and declare for the cause. The whole thing has been like a massive convention for people concerned for the welfare of the planet and millions of people across the country agree with their concerns. Not everyone gives a toss when they buy a plastic plate but they should do and slowly but surely they are doing and lots of other things too. This two weeks is speeding up the process IMHO.

More CO2 does cause more infrared radiation to be absorbed and re-emitted in the atmosphere. Why can't you just simply say that you agree on this simple point?
