If the only money we have for transfers is generated by outgoings then if it's £50m upfront we should take it,sadly

I know this viewpoint won't be popular, as many people on here can't wait to flog him off to a failing and yet so-called 'big' club, but AWB should stay at Palace. Man Utd are in complete and utter disarray; it'll be years before they recover to anything like what they were. They are a shambles.

AWB should continue to develop under one of the world's top coaches. He's just played his first full season, he has plenty of time on his side. We are no longer "cash-strapped Palace", and quite frankly we'd be doing Aaron a disservice if we were to let him leave, only for him to turn up at some vile and under-performing club. I only want our players, if they are to leave, to go to a top Champions League club. That instantly rules out Arsenal and Man Utd. Liverpool have TAA. I'd like AWB to stay at Palace forever, but failing that he should move to Manchester City after a couple more seasons with us. Kyle Walker is ageing, and our POTY is one of the best full backs in the world. He needs to make the correct move, not an early move.

Palace are not in any hurry to sell our star players which is why they value them so highly and if these valuations being quoted are genuine then it is to scare teams off not encourage them to start a bidding war as if they were for sale.

Due to the nature of these players long contracts Palace are under no pressure to sell players that they do not want to sell and they are in a very strong bargaining position if they are prepared to sell them as an interested club will have meet Palace's valuation not try and put in a lower offer hoping that it will be accepted.

If we sold AWB for 40M and signed Reece James for 15-20M would you take it? Gotta say I probably would.

Are you kidding? 25 million for a 10 goal striker in a team full of top class players? Far too much.

Fortunately he's got Wilf around to give him advice on that. Which is why other than City or maybe Spurs, he won't be going anywhere.

I imagine the club will offer him a lucrative contract extension this summer to reflect the progress he has made. If he turns it down then that probably means he’s off. He will probably do what Wilf did last Summer and wait and see who comes in and whether they are prepared to match Palace’s valuation. if they don’t then he will sign an extension and probably triple his wages.

We know Wilf wants to move but will never get the £70m we want from him. We know however if that Wilf puts in a transfer request we may be looking at figures of half that size needing to be accepted.

With this in mind, we may be looking to sell AWB for around £50m, before selling Wilf, meaning we may end up settling for less, £50m for Wilf to bring in around £100m for the pair, which is the kind of cash injection that the club unfortunately needs

Both have long contracts and we're under no pressure at all to sell - neither player would ever just 'down tools'

If anybody wants them, pay up.

I understand that we want somewhere between £80m-100m. There's no way (transfer request of not) that we would even entertain offers in the region of £35m.

We won't sell both. And we won't sell Wilf for 50 million.
