I feel so sad for him ...... can the club put in an extra option so I can give Arsenal my season tickets refund cash towards the transfer fee.

Well he obviously wanted to go to Arsenal and still would welcome chance to move to a top club . Sadly for him I think it is unlikely to happen now .

Maybe Wilf isnít telling the whole truth. He might have said to Moyes that the rumours werenít true and he would never shag such a minger.

If you want to move somewhere to try and win trophies, perhaps don’t keep signing bumper new contracts. I love Wilf, but I have no sympathy for him in this case.

Yes, I was trying to remember the chronology of when Rio was there.

He offers support now, but where was he back then?

And didnít one or two of the United clique bad mouth Wilf to the press at the time, leaking stories about training ground stuff?

It sounds like Moyes took on a job that was too big for him.

Good to see Wilf rates Bolasie a lot higher than quite a few Palace fans on here with short memories.

?

I think we all rated Bolasie at the height of his powers. Just like we all rated AJ when he was with us, but how successful was his return?

We would all love the Bolasie we sold back, but does such a Bolasie exist?

I just wish Pardew rated Murray as much as Wilf does.

Yup. Getting rid of Glenn was one of the worst decisions made by Pardew. And he had plenty of bad ones to choose from.

Didnít SP something similar to that too about being one of his biggest regrets. He didnít want to sell Glenn but had to stand by his managerís decisions. It was such a stupid thing to do by the club. That said, Glenn wasnít getting the game time he deserved at the time so you could understand why he wanted out.

He wasn't pulling up any trees here nor at Bournemouth, it took a spell in the championship with the weed and a change in diet to get him back to form.

It was and probably still is the worst footballing decision the club has made in the last 10 years. Let's not forget though that plenty on here arrogantly thought his best days were behind him, and that he was finished at this level. In his last (nearly) 3 seasons, he's scored 31 times. In that same period, Benteke and Wickham combined have managed to score 13.

I remember it certainly being something like Murray wanted to go, so the club let him. But everyone involved should have tried much harder to keep him. Wasn't the fee something pathetic (by current PL standards) like £5mil?

Good interview and wonder how much a return from Yannick would fire his passion again, not just in terms of company, but in terms of competition-wonder if we would see a better Wilf than the one of late if we signed some competition for him.

Would have liked to hear his views on refs and how he is perceived as a diver.

According to wiki, it was £4m. Considering he was only 31 it was as bloody stupid, especially for a forward that didnít rely on pace to do his job. He was probably in his prime at that age with his experience.

He had scored 8 in his previous 20 games for us, including absolute masterclass performances like West Ham away and Man City at home. He didn't need a move to get his form back - he needed a decent manager to put him in the middle of everything and make him feel valued. There is no way in a million years that Hodgson or Allardyce would have let him go.

Apparently at Bournemouth it didn't work out because of a mixture of not getting on with Eddie Howe, and ending up having a longer drive into training.

He really could have been the difference that day in 2016 against Man Utd
