 can’t see that they would to be honest. But if they did then I think he would suit our style in terms of narrow right back with lb bombing on. Only issue would be aerially for our system.

Poor lad needs an arm round him he is on the edge .I did see him driving terribly once in Selsdon couple illegal manoeuvres at a dangerous speed. Needs a fatherly manager to keep him on the straight and narrow

We need a long term upgrade on Ward but AWB is far from being it, Keane was right when he said even Palace wouldn't take him back.

The general consensus at the time was that it was good business for Palace but a bad move for AWB. He was a long way from being the finished article and was never going to train on at that club because they simply want ready made success stories. It's a shame really and I have this nagging feeling (based on absolutely nothing) that he may have bought into the trademark "Big Time Charlie" persona of the majority of players at the club. His performance against Manchester City was generally poor and lazy, albeit he was hardly alone. He was capable of so much better when with us. If his appetite were to return and he would take instruction and be available at a fee around the £8-10 million mark with no clauses, Palace should consider having him back. However, with so many unknowns among those conditions, there is a fairly good chance we will pass.

Would take him back on a reduced fee, but we shouldn't be stopping Ferguson's development either. I'm hoping we get a glimpse of Ferguson towards the end of the season and we'll have a good idea then as to how ready he is to be our first choice RB
