It's the sort of film you'd tell people you enjoyed but the ending ruined it because it was just too far fetched.

Got back from a few days away.......deleted the recording immediately. I just can't watch although I did save " the verdict" for a few weeks time.

The more I watch it the more I feel sorry for Stokes. Wasn't awful bowling - just ridiculous hitting (although I maintain Jordan should have bowled the last over given what had gone before in the game but let's not go there again ! )

The bit about Stokes is exactly the way i see it. Any bugger could have gone around the park the way Braithwaite was nailing it. The 1st ball wasn't overly clever but when you're talking millimetres with it stacked in the batsman's favour its a pretty thankless task. The flicked 4 off the final ball on his previous over served enough notice that the lad had something about him.

Root's first ball to Charles, half the screen suddenly turns into an Anthony Joshua ad as it skies to Stokes. That's some fvcked timing.

I think the problem for Stokes was the first ball WAS awful and got what it deserved. Suddenly, he had all the pressure on him so a length ball in the slot second up, whilst not an awful delivery, became an easy hit for a batsman. The fact balls 3 and 4 were almost identical to 2 showed that Stokes probably wasn't sure what else to do.

I can't help but think Morgan over-complicated it with his long discussion before the over started. And then when he was needed after 2 balls, he was nowhere to be seen.

It's all well and good dumping the older players, but what price a Broad or Anderson just being there to have a word with the bowler, regardless of who was bowling it?
