Peter Taylor now Welling manager
Not sure if mentioned elsewhere but our former player/manager has taken over at Welling, replacing another former player Steve Lovell.

From managing England (albeit for one match) to Welling United... Interesting career trajectory. Fantastic player and seems a nice guy, but really a very poor manager. Has he had success anywhere as a manager? Not sure quite how he has dragged out his managerial career for so long, to be honest.

I’m welling up. Didn’t he do a decent job at Gillingham and Hull? I thought he was a great appointment at the time but he managed to be more boring than Trevor Francis. He set us up like we were a minnow in a cup competition each week

Is Mark Goldberg still the chairman there? Was also manager for a while after he left Bromley as well I think.

A nice little club that made us very welcome when we played them in the preseason friendly years ago.

Good luck to him, always a Palace hero in my eyes, the legendary winning free kick at Stamford Bridge in the cup was something special in Palace history and he was always an exciting player for us, met him too, bloody nice guy.

Yes he still is and I get the impression the fans are not keen on him.
