I like Neil, he's a good guy who is incredibly passionate about the game he clearly loves. He'll keep Boro up then get them promoted next season.

Warnock is a 'certain type' of manager who overall has done well in financial constraints but has never done it in the Prem. Sam and Pulis similar but you know they have done very well financially (cough, cough) out of the clubs they managed. Give me Roy over those three and Warnock over those two. Hope he keeps Boro up just because their owner is a fan who has sunk his money into the club

You wouldn't want him pissing in your tent then, makes sense. Particularly when you're in there having a shit in a bin liner.

I actually agree with your general point but we were in the drop zone when he was sacked.

Excellent result today for the excellent Neil Warnock. For once a result went the right way. I like Boro and certainly don’t want them to go down (except when Pauli’s was manager obvs) and Millwall lost ground in the play off possibilities.

Keep going Neil.

Was watching BBC Breakfast earlier (occasionally tune in) and Neil was on being interviewed about his landmark game last night (match number 1,602) he still got the enthusiasm for the game, makes you wonder how many games he will eventually go on to manage....

He certainly still has the enthusiasm for bashing the officials

I felt we were let down with the penalty decisions. The linesman overruled the referee on the Isaiah Jones one and we should have had another when he gave the free-kick just outside the box. We just didn't seem to get the rub of the green all night. But we never get anything off that one linesman whenever we have him. I won't miss him when I finally retire.

Got to give him his due, he is 72 and made a lot of money out of the game and yet he is still hard working and passionate and clearly not ready to retire.

And would never go to the wankers either.

They don’t say ‘pet’ up here. That’s Newcastle. More likely ‘love’

He told the Boro lads yesterday that this was his last job. Heard that before ain’t we

Apologies. He was getting into character for the journey to the outer darkness. And I believe the t' is all but silent too in speech but needs typing. Shit - that's not racist as well is it???

Could be on, though. BBC says the Howe move is stalling because they can't agree a deal with Jason Tindall as his assistant. I'm confused as to what is old and new news.
