.A great transfer summer; signed Coleman and Sinnott. In a parallel universe somewhere, the 1991 version of the BBS was in meltdown!

Two left backs...Coppell was certainly desperate to replace Richard Shaw following the failed experiment with Paul Bodin. Let's be generous and say that Coppell always saw Coleman as a top class centre half in the making.

Correct. The season was due to kick off against Leeds, but that was rearranged to the beginning of October. We should never have lost our opening fixtures at Maine road, ref cost us the game with two dodgy penalty decisions.

The reason for the postponement to start the 1991-92 season was the executive boxes being built above the Whitehorse Lane end. The Leeds game was moved to October 1st.

Correct. We found out whilst in Spain on tour. Think we won the game in the end 1-0. Bright?

Yes 89th minute winner. Cold cold evening I remember right in the middle of school holiday week. Also the night Salako ****ed his knee. We were on holiday down in Chichester and my Dad and I travelled back up for the game.

A separate thread for 1991-92 has been set up now.
Save your Leeds memories for October 1st (What a way for Brighty to end what was an entertaining match under the lights at Selhurst)
