I just watched Bringing Down the House starring Steve Martin and Queen Latifah.I really enjoyed it,Steve Martin was his normal goofy self and Queen Latifah is a really underrated actress imho, she's really funny and talented

Recently saw Hulk and was pleasantly surprised considering the bad reviews it got - quite enjoyed it myself.
Next up is O Brother Where Art Thou? which was on telly a few weeks back - taped it but have yet to sit down and watch. |

Road to Perdition again last night. Bloody cracking movie, especially the silent hit in the rain scene.

They've had a copy of it in one of the bookshops down here for ages but I've never got round to buying it.

I saw the new version of Peter Pan yesterday - it's out in a couple of weeks and it's fantastic.
It's very much Wendy's story, or at least from her point of view, and they've done it in a beautiful dream-like style. The direction is wonderfully fluid; the script is touching and funny; the colours change and melt into each other; the music sweeps through it all; the child actors can act; underlying issues of the daunting approach of adulthood are dealt with sensitively but not laboured; the sets are expressionistically perfect - really everything about it is great. I haven't enjoyed a film so much for ages and it wasn't just me. It's not often you get a cinema audience applauding at the end but this time that's what happened. I like the Disney version a lot, too, but this one deserves to become the standard screen Peter Pan for the next generations.
