I was specifically talking about the Good Friday Agreement referendum. No deal Brexit (and other types of Brexit) destroy the result of that referendum thus reversing the results of the 1998 referendum.

Therefore, using your logic, should there be another referendum on the 1998 referendum to reverse it before the 2016 referendum is implemented? What happens if the 1998 referendum is re-run and produces the same result as it did in 1998 which in all likelihood it would?

Or is it just the 2016 referendum that has these unwritten rules? It seems that way as no one seems to give a shit about reversing the 1998 referendum without another referendum.

I haven't suggested that Scotland be forcibly removed from the union but yeah - parliament is sovereign. It is a slightly preposterous theory that enough MPs are elected to parliament with a manifesto to forcibly remove Scotland from the union but I guess they could - they are sovereign .

Can we vote for Gavin Newsom and we will give California Mike Ashley and the bloke from Pimlico Plumbers in exchange?
