Dropped it and shattered the screen.

Got someone coming out to my workplace today to fit an OEM replacement screen, with a 12 month warranty, for 150.

He comes well recommended and covers Kent, Surrey and Sussex, so will pop the details on here later if I'm pleased with it.

O2 website have recently been selling 'as new' unlocked customer returns Huawei Mate 20 Pro for 152 (rolling one month contract which you can cancel) unfortunately have been out of stock for a while but occasionally still comes up. Also selling brand new for 252 (plus rolling contract) and in stock. Picked one up at 152 and liking it so far and appears to unaffected by google issues on this model (unlike Mate 30 Pro) and has an excellent camera set up a bargain if you can pick one up.

How long do people generally keep their phones for? My OP5 is two and a bit years old and I'm perfectly content with it. Camera is a bit naff relative to what is out there now, but it's pretty quick for the most part.

But the OP7T does, as TAK says, look very tempting. I'll probably keep this one until next summer though.

Replaced the screen on my OP3 for the second time today for 23. Performance is still decent and camera is alright. I personally can't justify the extra cost of the new phones over what I already have. And that's taking in to account that I've lost the amoled screen for a cheap Chinese LCD. I've had it 3 years and 1 month.

I keep looking at, and looking at a refurbished Huwawei pro20 mate. Yet to take the plunge.

I've still got a oneplus 3T, but the camera is pretty terrible.

I keep mine for however long my contract is and then I replace it.

I have the Huawei Mate 20 Pro and it's been very good - but I did get a 30 month contract.

Prior to this February I had a Microsoft Lumia 950 Windows phone for nearly four years. Despite being a gadget man it just did what I want in making calls, using the internet and taking good pictures and didn't need the 'gimmicks' of Android or Apple (I did own Android tablets). When Windows Mobile wound down I went for an LG V30 due to the HiFi DAC chip but found this not to be all that good and combined with a lacklustre camera sold it off and bought a refurb Mate 20 Pro. The Huawei is a great phone just not keen on the curved edges and maybe a little to much thin to tall ratio. It annoys me now that I keep looking to see if there is the perfect phone out there or on it's way out. I'm sort of missing the days of being happy with a phone that just did everything well and now Android has me always looking to see what the latest new phone release is.
I think sometimes the more bells and whistles you have on a gadget you get more picky with what's good and bad about them, I know I could just get a basic phone but do need a very good camera on a phone which just are not found on the basic models. Hopefully the Mate 20 Pro will do me for a while.
