Not really sure what that's got to do with the two of them not getting on.

We love keepers when they make great saves but they are fecked when making howlers. What I can’t stand is players who look like they don’t care or try. Alex never took his chances and seemed to lack confidence. Our new keeper has the age and experience in a league equivalent to our own. He should not have a problem slotting straight in.

He was dropped after his first handful of games for Hennessey on account of making a series of errors. He's looked good at Southampton but let's not pretend he was anything other than poor for us.

His errors were massively overplayed. Perhaps it’s true he shouldn’t have been thrown in at the deep end.

The only big errors I can remember were the Man City spill and the Liverpool slip. Lots of players were slipping over at that point at Selhurst, and a number of our own players did in that very game. I can't hold that one against him personally, I thought he looked like a decent PL goalie with the odd mistake in him. We should've kept hold of him, but best of luck to him.

This certainly seemed true on here at least. I could never quite understand why slipping over was a goalkeeping fault but I was in the minority and he had made other mistakes. At the time I remember thinking that if you could merge the 2 keepers at the time, choosing the best attributes you could have a top notch keeper (and the 4 arms and legs would have been handy ).

Both he an Hennessey have improved - who knew .....

When you buy players you do so with the intention of playing them - I don't get this alternate universe where you have to give them a few years to settle.

Not quite true.

AM had a couple of issues away from football. Had a death in the family but also some other stuff which involved him missing training for a couple of weeks.

Came back, slipped over and got penalised for it.

Carillo and Boufal both bought in last couple of seasons and have both been left out of their pre-season tour.

They have a pretty decent list of failures like every club has.

It wasn't just a slip.

He hesitated to come out and that meant he had to come out hard and he slipped. Had he have committed earlier I don't think it would have happened.
