You need to look at the numbers not the propaganda.

Your picture confuses several issues so not particularly relevant.

None of the proposed solutions will make any difference to the problem. You can't tell developing countries that they shouldn't increase energy output and the easy way is fossil fuel. As explained whatever we do will make no difference, if we reduce our 1% to half that nothing happens.

Sorry, but i find that very difficult to believe.
I think he's suggesting we're fecked. Unless of course you look at my post on forestation. You can't solve this problem by putting a solar panel on your roof or even by smashing up the lobby of the Shell building.

I'm so glad that you know better than the world's leading scientists.

The cartoon confuses nothing. As a result of attempts to combat climate change, those things come from it.

Whether you believe in human-made climate change (there is nothing to deny unless you deliberately misinterpret data) that doesn't change those facts.

And by opposing end them? To die, to sleep,
No more; and by a sleep to say we end

Human activity produces about 40 billion tonnes (40E+9) of C02. The natural cycles produces about 20x that but is mostly reabsorbed.

So a program of forestation of the deserts could take up 30years total human activity produced carbon.

The bonus is that it would take a lot of water to grow that many trees thereby holding rising sea levels down. Its gonna take a lot of windfarms.

Extra bonus, think of all those extra trees the protestors could hug.

I await my Nobel prize for saving humanity. Thank you.

far from angry. LOL. careful you will explode if you carry on like that little man . For what its worth. i agree with the protests. I understand the the issue of climate change is going to fall ever more heavily on the next generations also i agree with you earlier point that coordinated international action is the way to go. finally anything skint says normally turns out to be full of shit. HTH.

Yes. State pension reduces your personal allowance so although the government claim its not taxed that's only because it doesn't exceed your personal allowance. If you a have a private pension and other income that's taxed as normal.

No I hadn't. It would be interesting to know what acreage they've covered.

One of the key things about transforming deserts in that it would also create soil which can lock up as much CO2 as trees.

it's very difficult to mobilise public protest against an existential threat which is not immediate. We should applaud this protest.

3 people have glued themselves to a Docklands Light Railway vehicle. They way to get sympathy or for action to occur on their plight? I think not.
