Let's hope their luck runs out and they finally f**k up. It was only six months ago people were lauding Watford and Gracia as something we should be aspiring too. Horrible poncey club I wouldn't be sad to see fall flat on their arses with that other strange club on the South Coast.

Huge misunderstanding of the Watford “model” on here.
They are open about the fact that they operate on a short term model and there business runs on this basis.
It’s probably a slightly harsh decision, but as someone commented earlier, his record pre and post final has huge echoes of pardew circa 2016.

Maybe this decision will backfire on them for a change?!
I remember West Brom used to be the masters of hiring and firing managers to get the Relevant effect.

They had a blip when they appointed Pepe Mel but recovered when they got Tony Pulis in. You would like to think they learnt but amazingly got rid of Pulis for Pardew . Another example of why football club management shouldn’t take much notice of what their fanbase says...

Watford remind me of Charlton - Nothing club with an odd bunch of geeky fans, desperately trying to form a rivalry with us, the Clowns were also held up as a great role model for a while. Would quite like to see Watford go the same way, at least that way they could get back to there propers rivals Luton.

The Watford owners know what they’re doing. They’ve been in football since the 90s.

It’s like their playing pinball with their managers -

Elton sporting very early Palace Bover Boy gear - they actually wore stuff like that on the Holmesdale in 1973 folks! Interesting that the clip is from 50 years ago though!

As sheepy says, I think this was similar to Palace sacking Pardew after prolonged failure in the league spanning the end of one season and the start of the next, although we gave Pardew the best part of a calendar year to sort things out and it may have been getting to the FA Cup Final which saved his job that first season.
Watford have been absolutely awful since winning the FA Cup semi in April and looking at their stats they've gained just 5 points from a possible 30 since and they got absolutely tonked in the Cup Final. A very odd slump given how well they started and performed for large chunks of last season.

It'll be interesting to see what happens at Wolves if they don't start to pick up soon. I know there is quite a bit of expectation to improve on last season there.

Bit delusional if that’s true, Europa league will take its toll and they didn’t add many players.
