Yeah he has now. But apparently he was ineligible before that anyway due to FIFA rules.

A quick search of the FIFA rules confirms they do list being born in the country you wish to represent as one of the criteria.

The other is a strong connection, eg via nationality of parents/grandparents, or having lived in that country for many years.

I thought that was only for the additional criteria for choosing to play for a Country within a group of countries? I.e, British nationality means eligible for England, Wales, Scotland, Northern Ireland, but to play for one you had to meet the additional criteria.

"A player who, under the terms of art. 5, is eligible to represent more than one association on account of his nationality, may play in an international match for one of these associations only if, in addition to having the relevant nationality, he fulfils at least one of the following conditions:
a) He was born on the territory of the relevant association;
b) His biological mother or biological father was born on the territory of the relevant association;
c) His grandmother or grandfather was born on the territory of the relevant association;
d) He has lived continuously on the territory of the relevant association for at least two years."

The general rule is the below:

"Any person holding a permanent nationality that is not dependent on residence in a certain country is eligible to play for the representative teams of the association of that country."

Being born in the UK does not give you British nationality/citizenship.

Leaning towards watching PSG vs Real tonight, just more open, attacking teams than Juve vs Atleti. Ronaldo could do a madness like he often does vs Atleti though, making it a high scoring affair.

Wonder if Zidane will be sacked tonight if they don’t get a point.

He’s almost a bit of a Pardew, good at handling egos, motivating and the players clearly like him, but no tactical intelligence. Those 3 champions leagues were pretty flukey on his part.

What the hell happened to Atalanta?! Lost 4-0 to Dinamo Zagreb. Should be dispatching teams like that, with all due respect to Zagreb.

I think most of the players did. Yohan and Wilf in particular loved him.

I suppose it's one of those (back-handed) compliments, that Spurs put their 'A' team out against us at home, whilst keeping their 'B' team for Olympiakos away.
How much longer has Alli got ?

Frankfurt Arsenal game is hilarious. Is 0-1. Should be about 8-6

He’s just made a third. One goal two assists. Pretty good. Never heard of him.

This Wolves team really struggles in defence occasionally. Shame we struggle in attack or we might reasonably expect to take advantage on Sunday. Maybe we'll do the unexpected and test them out.

Was expecting Wolves to have a great season.Hopefully their rough patch continues for 1 more game.

Some absolutely crazy results tonight.The Dudelange game looks unbelievable.
