Pity about his war. He also held the presidency of the European Council in 2005

I'd have to know how bad corruption was in the National Socialist German Workers' Party to make a true comparison.

Tory enablers. No interest in opposition, just destroy the left for good and let the Tories waltz to another victory. Everyone's a winner.

sooner or later with FPTP voting, there will need to be an electoral alliance between the non-Tory parties to prevent these ruinous tory majority governments on a minority of the popular vote

there is probably a narrow majority of progressives v conservatives

electoral reform will transform politics, the labour party and the conservative party can both split and there can be transparent coalitions

i wont expect it sadly until another tory GE majority

After the LD/Tory debacle I cannot see any parties rushing to hold hands to keep them out of power. It will take another Blair to get them out.

An anagram of Tony Blair is Tory in Lab.

I think left Labour politics is also always strongly pacifist and fifty years on, one thing you can say for sure about the EU is that it is surely the greatest guarantor of peace in Europe that has ever existed. Peace - rather than war - is of overriding importance to many people of the left (and the reasonable right) -we will put up with a lot to have it.

Thatís why Labour voters have shifted to a pro-EU stance, in my opinion, Percy.
I believe peace should be attributed to the council of Europe rather than the EU .

This is significantly worse than the 2019 election result and far worse than 2017.

Its interesting though - Covid destroyed Trump's presidency but vaccination has given Johnson an unprecedented boost.

Arguably it's not realistic to compare pandemic polls with normal ones.
