I wonder what RH really thinks of this.

A badly-needed option up front seems he was not too expensive for West Brom who do not pay silly money especially now they are in the championship.

He was pissed off that Sako turned down the deal he was offered and said so in a press conference.

Sako's days at Palace were numbered then and quite right too.

We can't afford to be f*cked about by players who, in all honesty, haven't delivered in any way, shape or form despite what they have cost us.

The "Jordon Mutch Principal" that a player will be a hugely expensive liability if they cannot be arsed to keep fit and earn their living should be the recruitment mantra for CPFC.

Well, including to Wikipedia, nearly two months into his West Brom career, zero appearances.

I saw he was on the bench recently. Closest he has come to getting a game from what I can see.

Seems odd that Gayle can only get on from the subs bench. Managers really don’t seem to like starting him.

Darren Moore was a tough uncompromising bloke as a player.

I can't see him putting up with any slackers

If you sign a player like Sako then the contract must have a get out of jail free clause in case he cant be bothered to put the hard work in it takes to be fit, the manager can do sfa if the player has a contract he gets paid, at Palace he was fit for his first few games then never got into shape, even when he was doing well in the later stages he was not 100% fit, such a shame as he is very good player and at Championship level he would score a shed load.

Yet some on here keep having a go about Wickham who had a horror injury but wanted Sako to be given a new contract? Reminds me of the Harry Enfield shop 'I saw you coming'

Sako's contract at Palace ran out whilst he was recovering from a bad injury and he had not even featured in any pre-season games which ruined any chance of winning a new contract.

Judging by how little football he has played since leaving Palace then it looks like Palace made the correct call by not renewing his contract.

That bad tackle on him at West Ham did more damage to his career than he could ever have expected which was a shame as at the time he had started playing well and was scoring goals.

Typical of Palace's luck.

Or... just desserts for a player who could barely be arsed for most of his contract and only turned it on once it was coming to an end.

Surely not the football he’s played since leaving Palace that’s the indicator but the football he played while he was here. Not renewing his contract (on his terms at least) was never going to be the wrong call.

I would rather have him on the bench then not at the moment, atleast he could be unpredictable.
