I have been a big fan of Broja since his days at Southampton and have always pushed for CPFC to sign him, he was an outstanding talent even at 19 very much like the lad Ferguson at Brighton, and would make a superb true leader of the line at Palace.
However, what has happened since with injury to the lad has seen him struggle to regain his former outstanding qualities and form, so for Chelsea to be quoting (50m) is not just unreasonable but senseless for any club to even consider paying that fee.
As much as I would want seeing him in a Palace shirt as he can still prove to be an outstanding striker for us, but it should only be initially via a loan with a mutual agreement in place with his form and fitness permitting, a fee of 30m plus 3m add ons agreed for a summer deal along with say a 10% sell on clause.
That in my opinion would make it sensible and reasonable deal for All parties, as there is still questions to be answered over him recovering his former form to justify that big outlay, which for a club of Palace's financial standing is important.

interesting to hear we agreed a fee with West Ham for Ings at the start of the window and he turned us down. Still hopeful of a new striker coming in, not linked to anyone leaving.

But what was their source? It appeared nowhere in any media at all other than a couple of vague links that us and a couple of others were enquiring.

Carl. I don't think its fair to repeat everything on there as then nobody will listen to it, but there is lots of interesting stuff on it and in my opinion it's credible.

Fair enough, if Carl is saying it it sounds logical.

There will no significant incomings until the new manager arrives. A couple of last-minute loans is all we can hope for. And not Kalvin Phillips, who is beyond our means and too expensive for a short-term fix, not to mention not interested in coming to us.

Fingers crossed (yet again).
Have you looked at the business that other clubs have done in this window.

Other than loan moves and transfers involving ĎAcademyí players there has been very little movement.

I wonder if there will be any loans out from the u21s. Youíd imagine there will be interest in quite a few. Maybe once all our business in is complete and we know how the squad looks.
6 Academy players have already gone out on loan in this window.

I think Ings has turned us down numerous times now, right back to his Bournemouth days. Not sure what we did to upset him other than maybe he was always aiming higher but he went to Burnley so I guess it was something else. Itís a shame because I think he has been the sort of player that would have been adored at Palace. Seems unlikely now.

Villa fans couldnít wait to get rid and most West Ham fans seem to think he's shite so there must be something about him.

Ings failed the medical which was a 60 metre sprint against Roy and Ray
