I just don't understand why he's picked.

PK is right to point it out though. So many seem to use his 100% nature and interaction with fans as a reason to give him 7 or 8 out of 10 or ignore all of his mistakes. Many on here think he's barely made a mistake this season. It's unbelievable.

I think he's been brilliant BUT the tactics we play suit him down to the ground, if we pushed up the pitch 10 yards his lack of pace/positioning may have been exposed more.

Delaney - player of the year by a mile. He had a big step up to make this year and he has done it with style through hard graft.

I actually thought Gabbidon was the better of the two, Pulis imo made a mistake parting those 2, we havent looked as good at the back since

Someone starts a thread about our possibly most positive player and natural leader and it ends up going on about Moxey and Gabbidon?
Yes, there are nutters on here who talk about Moxey as being a really good full back regardless of the times he doesn't challenge or does silly things. Its the same with Jules who although not a patch on our real greats of keeping (Glazier, Jackson and Martyn) is elevated to sainthood by those who have not seen any of our great keepers. We are lucky to have Delaney, not because of his ability but because of his passion and leadership. Scott Dann had a very good game on Saturday and we need to get behind him as well. Who ever Pullis picks, we need to get behind them and be positive, just like the big man Damo.

I agree about the parting of Delaney and Gabbidon. Delaney edged POTY for me as he arguably had the bigger step up to make to get to the required Premiership level.

PK and Klinks are more than entitled to criticise Moxey, he is not a PL LB, IMO.
It's just a shame that their objectiveness doesn't stretch to Parr, but I suppose it's understandable because he is the bette looking of the two and has a foreign name, which is the fundamental staple of the modern footballer. He also wears udnerarmour so must be siiiiiick. |

I want Delaney to be Godfather to my children.
It used to be Morrison, but now it's Delaney. I love him. Wears his heart on his sleeve, tough as old boots, stands his round and has a strong voice too. I would pay serious cash to see the little divs who got noisy with him on that stupid twitter thing to say it to his face. He strikes me as a man with ability. |

I really wish we had signed him or just played Side-O at left back Or Bentram. Actually no **** that.

I just told Sol Campbell that and he reckons you've only made that decision because Clinton is black and that you are a racialist.

Delaney
Pullis clearly gives him a free role which allows him to give more weight literaly to our attack - him or Ward POTY

Sorry but a centre back does not have a 'free role' to support the attack.

Free role?!
There are clearly far far more talented footballers in the club than DD. However over the season when it comes to consistency and drive has there been many better this season? Probably not. Been the biggest surprise for me. Keep it up. |

You never heard of a "libero" sweeper? (Not that I'm suggesting for a minute that Damo is one)

BUT - to say Damien Delaney has a free role to 'support the attack' is quite possibly the most ridiclous thing I've ever heard. |

Parr is terrific and I really don't understand why you don't rate him. Football is all about opinions though and fans do see the same game differently so fair enough. |
