My wife has carried out a critical assessment of the current Palace squad and has concluded that Delaney is by far the most handsome.

I was against giving him a new deal - Totally wrong on that, He has been absolutely immense.

Like I said earlier, a realistic contender for Player of the Year.

I put this in a different thread., but will stick it here too.
Some man, Delaney. And the way he says "45" is pure Cork boy. |

All the way
It's incredible to think that we bought Delaney and Bolasie in a rush as we sat on the bottom of the championship. They and Speroni, Ward, KG, Jedi, Murray even Moxey and Gabbidon have done amazingly. It's been an astonsihing ride and congratulations to all at Palace. Makes you wonder how many other players are out there in the Championship and beyond that could do a job at this level.

Bright, articulate, superfit and majorly good at his job. A total credit to himself and our club. Well played DD, you've been a revelation in one of the world's toughest leagues.

If i'm pushed, one of our three best outfield players over the whole season, along with Joel and Mile. Gives us hope in every match where once there was little.
What a partnership he is forming with Scott. Always liked a double D |

He may need one, doubt he wants one. To have been on the verge of quitting nearly two years ago to have been promoted with a Wembley win, played as first team centre back in the Premier League, stayed up, received loads of credit, be loved by fans like ours and get back into the Ireland squad.......must feel like a dream every day

I was singing "We all dream of a team of De-laneys, a team of De-laneys, a team of De-laneys" in the house yesterday. I even got the kids singing it.
I'll try and get it going at the end of the month when I return to Craven Cottage to watch Ireland v Italy. The 'Gary Breen' version was a staple song of the touring Irish back in the day. |
