This. Shows VAR does not stop cheating, the diving, feigning injury, the Algerian player grabbing Wilf's arm and then raising it to the face was classic.

This on the BBC website - "Crystal Palace forward Wilfried Zaha went into the quarter-final looking to increase his two-goal tally at the tournament.

However, the Ivory Coast player was booked and fortunate to escape a red card after a confrontation with Ramy Bensebaini."

I thought the incident where he was booked he was lucky to escape a red so was the second Algeria player who pushed him. However the refereeing on the whole has been pretty lenient

If that serves to emphasise that his temperament is questionable, and makes him a risk, it's all good to me.

Oh - I've probably got the wrong end of the stick then. I've only seen the incident where the Algerian player grabs his arm and hits himself in the face with it.

Yeah it was a separate incident. One where he was booked and could have easily been sent off because he lost it.

Then the Algerian hit himself in the face with Wilf's arm but he wasn't booked for that.

Senegal well on top in the first semi-final, should be at least 3 up on decent chances missed. Not much for our man Cheikhou to deal with so far.

Remarkably poor attendance.

0-0 at 90 mins - both teams missed a penalty in the last 15 minutes of the half!

Weird own goal by Tunisia from a free-kick puts Senegal 1-0 up in extra time.

VAR would have sent Wilf off for having arm in an unnatural position when he should have had them behind his back
