Souare on the other hand makes no sense at all, even before he dislocated his shoulder he looked poor in that cup game against Grimsby, he wasn’t really making an impression against a lower league team. I understand that he would be a cheap squad player (if 30k per week is cheap) but if that’s the only consideration why did we let Bakary Sako go. I thought we were going to finally get rid of the deadwood and start bringing in some younger players but this doesn’t fill me with confidence
Or even try Bakary Sako at left back, couldn't be worse than Souare, and he can score goals

Never rated him, even before his crash. There must be a youngster at the club who could take his place, or frankly what's the point in the academy. I honestly think re-signing him and Sako is more down to laziness and incompetence from the scouting dept and Parish than any considered opinion.

Lot that is mental. Sako would be out on his arse playing full back. It's probably the most challenging position on the pitch, fitness wise.

Lol that’s one of the worst suggestions I’ve ever seen on here.
You might as well just stick a sign in the pitch point to the left side saying “attack this way”.

You are clearly drinking far too much Sagres (a lovely beer) or are on a wind up

I’m going for a mixture of the two ....

Pape Smurf would be a better defender than pape Souare , he's nowhere near good enough to play at premier league level , Awful Pardew signing that has taken a lot of money out of the club for very little in return , we should let him go , we can do far better than him on half the money .

That trick clearance he tried in the left back berth against Bournemouth was class when he sliced it on to his standing leg and it went out for a throw in.

I usually hate stories like this because it shows how badly football clubs handle youngsters who dont make it, but what an absolute dickhead.

'Along with former Scottish Premier League player Ohmar Pike, the pair netted nearly £15,000 from eight raids.'

As an aside, that's really not a good return, is it? Let's round that up to £2k a job, and as there's 2 of them they would realistically need to be doing 2 jobs a month to pay bills and food, and have a bit left over for a few beers and some fun. It was only a matter of time before they were going to be nabbed.

Memories are even shorter with you. He was out first choice left back at the time of his injury. We had to sign new players to cover him. We have moved on but lets not pretend be wasnt valuable to the squad at the time of the injury.

Wasn't he our only left back at the time of the injury? Zeki Fryers aside, who I'm not sure counts as a footballer, except for that one cross at Sunderland.

So he was valuable to the team then?

Never said he wasn’t first choice, I said he was out of form at the time of his injury and had been for a while. For me his career at Palace that of Alan Pardew, a great first year but was found out.

Also on a separate note we really missed a trick with a Zeki Fryers song. Could of been to the tune of we didn’t start the fire, we signed Zeki Fryers, we just never play him but we have to pay him!

Was there for Karic. But don't remember Ashton at all...mind you not surprising given his "career" with Palace
