Connor Roberts

Would prefer this type of signing , talented , young ( 22 I think ) and quite experienced rather than Clyne / Jenkinson , etc .

Connor Roberts
Everton can also look to target Swansea City ace, Connor Roberts. Primarily a right-back, he can also deputise as the left-back. His versatility will come in handy as Leighton Baines has looked a tad unreliable even as a back-up given his injury travails.
Roberts has plenty of experience under his belt, having played for Yeovil Town, Bristol Rovers, Middlesbrough and the Swans and has shown immense maturity and calmness while discharging his duties.
Last season, he mustered 45 appearances in the Championship and bagged 5 goals and an assist. He is a modern-day full-back and has the calibre to make a quick transition from defence to attack.
He is an excellent passer of the ball and has pace to burn, which make him an appealing commodity for any top side. The Welsh international has proved his mettle in the Championship and seems to be ready for the next step up in his career

Very good player, which means we won’t be interested in him. Dougie probably hasn’t been heard of him considering he’s not an ex Palace player.

A few weeks ago talk of £10m being mentioned for Roberts and £15m for Bowen from Hull , what a great bit of business that would be for us . 2 very talented young players whose value will in all probability increase . I also feel they would be pushing to start for us . Both versatile , Roberts can play Right back , right midfield and left back . Bowen can play out wide and more central .

That really is the direction we should be moving towards, TWO young versatile players for positions that we need to strengthen, would slot perfectly into the setup in no time and they would only add value.
And if as you suggest they could be added for a combined fee of 25m and their wages certainly wont be on bank busting levels, what is there not to like about deals like this? Come on SP you know it makes sense and whilst you are getting your cheque book out also get in touch with Brentford over Maupay.

Certainly would be the best paired signing since Fan & Sun !
